Looking for a MIDI sequencer
Hey guys,
I'm trying to find a MIDI sequencer that handles multiple tracks and specifically has a step input feature, exactly like the manual step feature in Thesys but multitrack. Can Genome do this? MidiSequencer? Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers!

Meteor is the only one I can think of.
A generic question about step input though, how do you put a rest in?
Meteor can do this? Does it require any IAPs?
In Thesys you can drop the velocity all the way to create a rest, I think.
Thesys is an appegiator. You shound wait Auria Pro, Don't waste your money. If you really want one for now, you should buy a daw like MultitrackStudio for iPad to use its piano roll editor. If you really want a proper multi midi sequncer, then wait Modstep for one or two months!
Meteor does have IAPs
I suggest you look at the 4pockets web site to see if it does what you need.
Look at Midi Pattern Sequencer. It needs a little work to understand how to do things, but when you've got it, it is a powerful tool.
I don't think it is Audiobus compatible? Not sure though
In theory -- Genome can do this.
However, I find more Apps than not have latency issues with Genome. I have an Ipad Air.
Thesys could be the best app. If they took the time to make it truly IOS specific version or update. I mean - a command button? The zoom feature is so tedious. The preset sounds are bunk.
It could be the best of it's kind out there if they took time to do it.
If you say multi midi channel, I know of Genome and midiPro.
Midi Pattern sequencer looks great too for 2.99€...think will check it out
Trick with Genome is to load all tracks with scenes and then hit play. You can edit/put in notes and won't get the out of sync (problem which you get if you add a scene while the sequencer is running) but Genome doesn't record notes.
ProMidi records midi notes, or write, multi scene kind of like Ableton Live scenes, play any, all, but the interface or gui is not to my liking, wish that everything was available on one page and simpler or something...
MidiSequencer, Thesis, Little Midi, B-step and few other are 1 or 2 channels only, from what I know/own...
@RustiK, you're right, MPS isn't audiobus compatible, but it doesn't matter as long as you can make it drive apps that are audiobus compatible
