How To Play And Name ALL The Three Note Chords On Piano and More
This is the first video in a series I will be doing on keyboard playing. In this first one I show you how to work out and play ALL the three note chords on the piano or any keyboard, and also how to work out ALL the major scales, and find all the chords that belong to all the major scales.
Its best if you have a paper and pen handy for this as it will make things much simpler for you to learn this stuff.
You’ll be surprised at how simply this stuff is when you get your head around how it all works.
The second video will feature how to play all the 7th chords and then a third video will cover the other chords such as the 6th, 9th,, 11th and 13th chords.
Then I will start on the scales other than the major one.
I hope this series makes it simpler to understand and make it a fun experience. I promise that it will also help to make you better at making music.

Thanks! I'm rusty after a long hiatus from playing. And thanks for all your other videos too. :-)
Great stuff Doug! Looking forward to watching and learning from this when I get home.
Wow, this is awesome! Thanks for doing this. Will no doubt help the guitar player in me grasp keys a bit better.
Good move Sir Doug.
@thesoundtestroom: Very nice Sir! Thank you!!
Thanks Doug, although it is hard to play chords on an EWI, this will be very helpful. Especially considering how that one XY pad in iM1 selects chord inversions.
Thanks everyone, I'm really pleased you guys are finding it useful, and I hope you like the future ones too. There's no magic easy way but if you know the theory and formulas it makes it a lot easier to grasp and learn
Great video. I added it to my list of Music Theory links at my iOS music Pearltrees:

Not yet.
Thanks John for adding it, top man
^^Ditto for me! Immediately saved to my iOS Tutorial playlist.
Great idea
The next one should be done soon, I just a have a couple of other demos to get out first, then I will be doing the second tutorial for playing all the sevenths
