iSymphonic Orchestra new sound pack - demo

Hi all,
Crudebyte has added a new sound pack (IAP) to their iSymphonic Orchestra app and I've got a video converting this, plus there's a little example song at the end that uses some of these news sounds. Check it out here:

  • Hi Flo, yes...I typically record or import MIDI in Cubasis and then it's easy to switch out apps or sounds. I used Purcell's funeral march from a midi download (can't remember which site though).

  • Thank you for the preview, Mr. Bourne :)

  • Thanks I'm going to get it.

  • I will have a demo for this pack tomorrow with a special pre release look at another new pack called Canto which is mainly voices, that'll be released in about two weeks, very nice

I'm into choral and voice sounds as much as you are Doug, so this is interesting news. Sounds like you've made inroads with Crudebyte for a pre-release...cool beans and congrats!

  • @Tozbourne @thesoundtestroom Looking forward to this. Killer voices will be the tipping point for me as regards buying this...

  • I finished the demo earlier today, truly wonderful and inspiration pack, I think you guys will love it, very rich tones, plus blends like choir and strings, and yeah me and Christian get along really well, he really cares about the sound, I'll tell you though that I have everything installed for iSymphonic and it weighs in a a whopping 2.6 gb, but you can almost touch the depth, it's like SampleTank 3 on the desktop, 33gb but man it's lush

Really looking forward to both demos - thanks, Doug!. Like Good Mr. Goodyear, I'm also this close to pulling the trigger, especially as my keyboard skills (slowly) evolve ...

  • The Harpsichords in the IAP are a good counter to Ruckers. They both sound great, and different from each other.

Agree, and I have Ruckers and love it. Also the harps in this pack are beautiful...so nice in fact that I am now seeking out some harp music to help me use the sounds in an appropriate manner (before I go using them inappropriately...like run through Flux:FX)

  • I'd recommend Alice Coltrane for harp music, my favorite harpist.

@TozBourne: Thank you for demo with no FX. That was what i wanted to hear. Mmhhhh.... the samples seem still very wet even without FX. I will pass finally. But i'm sure many people can get a lot from this app!

Thanks very much for that info, I'm a big Coltrane fan (well I meant John, but now Alice too). And that helped to get me going on some research. Among many cool harp related discoveries is Dorothy Ashby (also jazz). But maybe the most intriguing aspect of harps is that in our world we actually have LASER HARPS!!!
