Well, I'd go for the old classic 'BeBot' for the type of sound, it's one of the first synth apps i bought

The Video is old but the app is universal and works flawlessly under iOS8.3 with both AudioBus and as IAA-Generator.

MorphWiz also has some theremin sounds and is AB compatible.
Great GEMA in Germany..... can't watch it. ThumbJam has a nice Theremin.... and can transform everything in a theremin via continuum mode. Mitosynth can also create a lot of theremin kinds sounds.
Addictive Synth maybe..
SynthMaster factory preset pack has a theremin that is quite nice. If you buy Historic Synth Giants Volume 4 the Tomita Lip Whistle would also work well for that tone.
