Waldorf attack- does it have ACP?
Does anyone know if Waldorf attack will ship with acp?
Thanx

I'd honestly rather see support for iOS-Filepicker than the dreaded ACP in Waldorf Attack...
Imagine, iOS-Filepicker would give us possibility to import/export sounds from/to iCloud, DropBox, Google Drive, AudioShare or just about any app that acts as an iOS File-provider
It's sad to see that the 'focus' of AudioCopy has shifted from sound-managing to being a crappy 'content-store'.
There is still no way (Ok, iFunBox works) to hide or delete empty folders in ACP, all ACP-Copied content is 'stored' in AudioCopy.app and there is no option to just 'transport' the sound from app A to app B without saving the sound in AudioCopy.app. And when recording sounds in AudioCopy there is still no way to monitor and listen to the incoming signal...
I try to avoid ACP as much as I can...
Yes, ACP. From the manual... You can either choose the AudioCopy option. Here, the song will also be exported and but additionally copied to your iPad ́s clipboard. Use this function, if you want to use your song as sample for one of the oscillators or for using it into another iPad App.
AudioCopy - a more under-performing app I 've yet to find...the Filepicker option would be so much better (for anything !)
Most apps let you use the general pasteboard though, don't they. I've never installed AudioCopy but I can happily cut and paste between music apps.
General Pasteboard works for most part, but the 'target app' should at least have a rename option for the pasted files.
I need exact bars to export to Bilbao. I dont want to record a drum beat into anything then trim and THEN have to paste into Bilbao..why should I have to?
ACP , pasteboard or "open in" are as essential as AB and IAA
ACP is not dreadful, you don't need the app to paste to other apps..
The focus of audiocopy depends on the user, that's all. I don't use the app but the content store has pro level loops and one shots made by some amazing artists. I rarely need to use loops and one shots cause I craft my own, presets too..but many who are starting out to make dance music according to the standard needed could benefit from them.
I imagine that those packs are valued by iMPC pro and Novation pad users tho
I understand the hating on Retronyms up to a point but that should not extend to loopmasters who actually provide all the content in those packs. They must be selling well cause many more packs keep appearing. Even the best producers use loops as fillers sometimes. I do but only with breakbeats , from a file in audioshare that contains stuff from my sound design partner Digital Resonance.
It's simple, one doesn't need the audiocopy app- just hit audiocopy, paste in audioshare to file away..myself, I don't stash loops, maybe a few in a Bilbao bank.
I really don't understand why u think u think u need to have audiocopy app installed cause it's NOT necessary..
To use audiocopy or pasteboard u don't need the audiocopy app...shaking my head lol
I've found it does one thing for me that makes it useful (this is the reason why I have it installed):
Export work-in-progress mix from Gadget to ACP, then I connect iPad to PC and using CopyTrans app, I can locate the mix and copy it to my PC for listening to / archiving my work-in-progress mixes.
I'm not 'hating on' (dreadful phrase) the company who makes the app, just it's limited functionality...
You don't even need the app to do that...you can export to Dropbox from within gadget, open it up and file in audioshare...
I live out in the wilds in rural UK, my broadband is too slow to use Dropbox - any other ideas ?
"Open In..." is a very handy way to export Audio & Files as it lets us pick where we wan't to store our exported file.
Even AudioCopy.app accepts importing files by using "Open In...", this feature was just recently added.
Most of the time I use General Pasteboard to do ACP(The ACP.app is no longer installed on my iPad).
I prefer storing and managing my sounds & samples in AudioShare and if AudioCopy was installed the sound I AudioCopy from AudioShare would be duplicated and stored in AudioCopy if it was still installed...
My vote still goes to iOS-Filepicker usage since it's built-in to the iOS and doesn't need 3rd party SDK's for implementation. (3rd party SDK's will most likely cause chaos if apps implementing them aren't updated when new version of the SDKs becomes available).
Paste to audioshare and file there? Depends if u want to continue in desktop tho..maybe if so then u have to use iTunes filesharing?
Yeah, I will use open in as first choice, pasteboard second and audiocopy as last resort
This file picker thing, that's forthcoming in iOS 9? I didn't yet have chance to see the keynote or read anything as yet
The file picker thing was an ios8 thing. Still hasn't really gained much traction
So it exists but we can't use it?????
It exists, but until devs incorporate it we can't use it. Only example I can think of off hand is Dropbox (I'm sure there's some others though)
AudioShare already acts as an iOS-FileProvider so every app capable of utilising the iOS-FilePicker can import and export files to/from AudioShare.
Internally Korg Apps (Gadget, iM1 and Module) use a 'private' iOS-FIleProviders to share samples and data between apps so there is no need to duplicate the files. AudioCopy, TableTop and iMPC Pro could use this technology too to avoid duplicating samples, the technology is there, it's up to the developers to embrace and implement it...
Honestly apps that are not updated to support at least iOS8 can been seen as 'deprecated' and no longer supported by the developer.
But most important is that we can export stuff out from Waldorf Attack once it's available for download
Thanx for clarifying..
Fact is, many apps will be left behind, it's natural
@Igneous1I try to avoid cables when transferring files to/from the computer so I paste my Gadget exports to AudioShare, enable the Wifi-Drive in AudioShare and use the web-browser on the computer to access the files
Thank you. (shakes head LOL again!)
When is Attack out?
Wish I knew..gadget cannot wait to meet him:)
I feel Attack will be perfect to make these kind of tunes including speech
