  • Thanks, great app indeed!

  • Even if the app is the "best" APP ever created it is a damn good one.

With a developer like Oliver and his concise understanding and value he has for his customers, he will make needed improvements or have another great app out in the future,

  • Does this have MIDI control input? Or just start/stop? If so, How well does it work?

    @Hmtx
Yes. I got it to respond to C#2, D2, D#2, F2, F#2, G2 using genome on channel 1. The start and stop works well with loopy and Genome.

The manual also states that you can use CC messages to control the instruments sounds.

    They are as follows

    Inst 1 CC 10-25

    Inst 2 CC 30-45

    Inst 3 CC 50-65

    Inst 4 CC 70-85

    Inst 5 CC 90-105

    Inst 6 CC 110-125

    Set Temp CC 7

The manual is located if you hit the little i beside the tempo. He has done a fairly good job with the manual.

  • nice, thanks!

Oooh - didn't know you could control the parameters with ccs... that's pretty cool. Bit like iElectribe.

So you could do some pretty cool stuff sequencing and automating in, say, ProMidi... Might try that one day. You could get some nice transitions into different variations and patterns and probably sync up with Gadget etc...

And if/when Auria Pro (Midi Out) - you could use ED as a drum module. Could do this with Cubasis and BM2 etc. now even.

  • So I just tried BeatMaker 2, GenomeMidi, ProMidi and Ableton Live 9 Lite via MIDIMux.

No go for BeatMaker 2 and ProMidi as far as sending note messages.

GenomeMidi sends clock data just fine but seems to only play mono.

Ableton Live via Midimux worked great.

I send the developer a message to let him know of my findings.

Can anybody else confirm or deny my findings?

  • Just going to bump this thread up. Still time to enter to win.

  • Thanks, that's great didn't see that cc info anywhere but wondered because there's a use cc page slider in the settings. ED is a great app, there are so many sounds you can make from it.

I got a reply too from the dev recently and he said in the next update you will be able to assign midi channel. I've been using midiflow to get it to respond to note messages more reliably.
