Genome: Latency issue
I have repeated latency issues with Genome in the input slot with another app.
By latency, I mean the curser does not nearly line up with corresponding notes.
How do you fix this? Can you fix this?
What numbers do you recommend in the sync area to make it work?
What settings do you suggest? I have spent too much time trying to get this straight to no avail. So I come to you.
I really appreciate help for this.

Thanks for all the help. I couldn't have done it without you.
Anyway - deleted again- once and for all.
Bought Virsyn ARP app to try it out. I absolutely love it. The ARP was always my favorite part of Virsyn apps anyway.
It connected super easy. No latency issues. Setting menu super intuitive and easy to use.
It is away more practical than Thesys.
B-step no need to comment, whole different thing.
It is a little more nimble than StepPoly if you are on the go. Granted, step poly goes deeper on many levels and parameters. However, StepPoly notation sometimes get fidget-ish for me tapping notes and having menu pop up.
StepPoly still top app for me. This Virsyn one just seems like a bread and butter tool I should have had for a while.
I recommend it for someone looking for a new method of stringing some notes together in a nice and easy way. No drama, no headaches.
AND - IT WORKED WITH SYNTHMASTER perfect. Probably also why I am so happy about it.
I don't have that issue with Genome. I use Loopy HD as a master clock to Genome and it works fine.
If you are boosting the number of measures of a phrase in Genome, it will go into its own time (i.e. not stay on the 1). It's kinda funky that way and you have to stop, restart. But then again, Genome doesn't seem to be designed to write patterns in a live setting.
Hi @RustiK could you give us more details about your exact setup? What apps are you running besides Genome?
I'm on iOS 8.3, iPad Air, and Genome's sync is working rock solid with the following apps running on my iPad:
The metronome click, the visual feedback (highlighted notes on the piano roll), and the SampleTank output are all, I think, in sync, I can't hear any noticeable lag. Genome's latency compensation is set to 0.
Hmmm.
I am using it with Cubasis in output.
Wish I knew what I have set wrong or am opening in the wrong order.
Damn
Thanks for your input appreciate your time.
So I just stopped home and thought, I never tried Genome outside of Audiobus.
I reinstalled it.
And worked great for the 1st time.
Is that how other people run it? Outside of A-Bus controlling apps? I just had Thor and Nave running perfect with no latency having Genome NOT in Audiobus.
A.D.D. meet O.C.D.
I run it in Audiobus. I have a AB preset called "Loopy Start" which sets Genome on Input, Loopy HD on output. Open another synth in the input of the same chain, and go to town.
