NeoSoul Keys for iPad - "snap, crackle, pop"
Just installed this on my iPad 3. Love the sounds, but unlike other apps I'm running (e.g., iGrand, Korg iM1 CMP Piano), I get crackle almost every time I play several notes simultaneously. I've increased the latency several times (up to 23 ms). CPU usage up to 40%, RAM as high as 340 mb. Maybe this app just doesn't play nicely with iPad 3. Any thoughts?

@LeesKeys By coincidence I just re-installed Neo again as well. Can report that -fortunately/unfortunately- I am not suffering the same 'noise' problem (air 1/8.3). It does come with a lot of noise, as regards key settings for on and off etc (as I'm sure you know), but otherwise all seems OK.
I have 1GB of RAM which seems like it should be enough to run a couple of apps like Neosoul simultaneously. I did discover that the crackle disappears if I don't run any other apps such as iGrand or SampleTank
Ah, yeah, no background apps will surely help. For the record, I spend most of my 'music time' in airplane mode....seems to help.
@LeesKeys. I use NeoSoul Keys quite a bit and have had no problems with it. As JohnnyGoodyear suggested I always run only 1 app in the input slot at a time. I have an ipad3 and have been on ios7 until a day ago. So now on 8.3 I'll take a run at it this afternoon and if I discover any foolishness I'll report back. Also, what audio interface do you use?
well, dang. the crackle has stopped. No idea why, still running iGrand in background
Don't look back!
True. still, inquiring minds want to know
