Now that the dust has cleared, what's the real word on synthmaster presets?
Today in the iOS music Google hang out, we all agreed that the synthmaster preset IAPs somehow seemed lackluster. This was a surprise, as the hype was so crazy, and, they are derived from a well regarded VST, where we knew what we were going to get already.
So, are there any preset packs that stand out at all?

A) I'm sorry I couldn't join you guys today. Glad to hear it was a lively session.
I don't think SM is lackluster. My technical term would be spotty. But I've found it inspiring in places. Has it also sent me back to Alchemy with renewed appreciation? Yes. Has it also sent me on (as it were) into the more straightforward but often more employable iM1? Yes. Am I looking for a more polished up/debugged version? Yes. But still, I will use it. Over-hyped? Er, yeah
C) I only have a few of the extra banks, but like 'World of Sound' a lot. Being a parochial proto-post-colonialist (albeit drenched in guilt etc) I am not typically a fancier of the Azerbijani Nose-Flute and so forth, but there's some excellent stuff here. Patches can be variations on a similar theme(s), but the good ones really are. Like I said, spotty.
+1 World of Sound, also Dawn of Electronic Music 1 and 3; Historic Synth Giants 1 and 4, Bigtone Techno Bits, and Pop Hits 4. Very happy with these banks. There's also a ridiculous amount of stuff including great leads etc on the factory 800, the LD VAI BEE HELL ALL (I) is a favorite...
