Best MIDI Controller APP for Iphone?
Something like Figure's style or ThumbJam"ish".
It is for when driving or on treadmill.
Thanks yall!
Will be checking this thread when I get to gym and buy what you decide.
Thanks

I use ThumbJam. Somewhere there is an option to mute the internal samples when you want to use a track as a pure MIDI controller. I used it when I configured my MIDI instrument, now I can't find it again to show you
Sound > Volume/iPod > instrument mute
Hard not to think about the SoundPrism apps
Thanks!
For "random" or generative sequences try Xynthesizer controlling whatever synth you want or its own excellent internal synth. Also try Nodebeat as it also is able to drive any other synth engine thru MIDI. You can even use the background on nodebeat like thumbjam. Another way you might consider is Gestrument which works off of "pulses" like Figure but gives you a tighter composition (depending on how you've programmed it) with just one finger. It can also drive other instruments via MIDI, so you're not just stuck with the internals sounds.
You want to play with a midi controller app while driving?
I want my car to control midi! Left and right turns would be pitch bends, accelerate and decelerate would control tempo, rolling the windows up and down for pitch variations.
Hmm, if you're driving... maybe someone get get Siri to do midi:
"Siri, play I, IV, V in B"
Ha
How about MIDI Motion or GyroSynth?
Someone needs to make a midi out Figure. I keep saying this... .
I think @Matt_Fletcher_2000 that's what I've been secretly wishing for in my heart of hearts, but wasn't able to articulate until you said it!
@audiblevideo I've kind of made my own approximation in TC-Data using notes along the x axis, midi cc(s) along the y axis and using it's sequencer so you can program in a pulse rhythm of your choice (like in Figure). It also quantises (like Figure) if you start the TC data sequencer running on the beat of whatever you're playing along with. All this get's midi'ed out.
But it's a little fiddly, doesn't work on the iPhone, and of course doesn't include that nice X-Y pad looping FX automation you can do in the Figure tweak screen. Neither does it loop the pattern you make like in Figure.
If you could code apps then i'm sure it would be pretty straight forward to build this midi controller / midi looper...
Propellerheads could make this in a (relative) instant i'm sure... or Korg (based on the iKaosilator code)...
I'm almost tempted to learn how to code apps and build it myself... Might be possible in MoMuPlat I guess... if that has a good solid clock and good midi out handling... and the logic for remembering the patterns you draw...
