    Hi @GeertBevin ...

Noticed a possible bug on the iphone (seems fine on the ipad version)...

Even if you sync the LFO (to BPM) with the sync button, the readout (and as far as I can hear, the sound) still changes the frequency of the LFO in 0.01 secs, not in fractions of a bar... Ie. it's still a free LFO, not a beat synced one.

    Latest iphone version (1.1.8)

Edit: - actually it's weird... on some patches it says "Qn" and on others it is in "sec"... but the sync button seems to make no difference. Maybe you could take a look?

  • Seems to me Animoog is still up there with the rest of the big names. Very unique sound even after all those years.

  • Animoog plays funny with me. "restore purchases" works on iPad Air2, but not on iPad Air1 (it wants me to register for the 5th time to be able to use the 4track...)

  • ... but I have to say: respect for the lots of work that are being put into the moogApps lately. very grateful!

@animal you might want to try reinstalling instead of updating Animoog on your iPad Air 1 in order to purge the previous state of the IAP. It could be confused with the previous issues on older releases.

  • When might we start getting some idea of what future apps might be like Geert? My curiosity level would more than likely kill me if I were a cat.

  • Didn't know about the free pack - nice one.

  • @GeertBevin: I just reinstalled Animoog, still the same. It's no big deal, since I hardly use the 4track. Just weird, that it responds so differently... . Thanks for your help, and many thanks for the great updates (also Filtatron, which gives me much joy again!), t

  • @animal Please send me a private message with the email address you used to register the 4 track, sometimes the online database gets confused and we need to manually reset it

  • Is there any way to change patch via Midi? I've tried using program change but it didn't seem to have any effect (and state saving does not seem to be supported).

Now there's only 4 IAPs remaining before my Animoog installation is complete (The Grateful Dead Expansion, Metallic Expansion, Vintage FX Expansion and Devine Expansion). I'll save those for some other time...

I have them all and the biggest surprise was the G-Dead.

    Biggest let down -- Metallic

    ALL other ones worth it

@RustiK Thanks, I'll propably end up getting the rest sooner or later.

My Animoog collection is 'complete' for now that is until new IAPs appear :)

There is a lot of raw-material for patch creation that's for sure and if (or when?) the Animoog engine allows 'jumping' to different points within the same or another timbre (ie. crete wave-sequences) with optional cross-fade, tempo-sync, transpose on/off per step (for tuned rhythmic loops) it would keep us busy for very, very long time...

@GeertBevin Would it be possible in the future to add an indication of semitone/cent to the unison detune knob? Ie. if I wanted to detune/transpose the notes in unison mode up by +7 semitones for a 5th or maybe +12 for one octave? This would save you from adding a second oscillator to Animoog for detune effects and also make it possible to easily play massive pads or other sounds with one finger(if 4 voices are spread across 4 octaves if detune is set to +12 semitones).

Other 'well worthy' IAP suggestions would be a built in step-sequencer & arpeggiator that also supports controllers per step and naturally midi-output.

Matt, you can set Animoog to sync to incoming MIDI clock. I usually run it slaved to Loopy HD so that presets stay BPM synced.

How do you do that ?

  • edited June 2015

Set "MIDI input"to Loopy HD. Only works if you aren't using another MIDI controller

  • Ok, thanks. I don't have Loopy, but I tried with Diode-108 which doesn't seem to send clock... It works with Elastic Drums and it's cool.

  • @Carnbot said:
It seems you can only have one midi input activated at the same time, I'd like for an option to enable more so more than 1 controllers/keyboard can be used at the same time. That and more extensive midi learn so that you can assign controls for the x/y pad unless I'm missing a way to do that already?

midi learn for everything would be great even changing presets etc.

FWIW there are MIDI filtering apps that can do what you want. You could check out Midiflow or Midibridge, both can accomplish this and much more.

    +1 for MIDI program change!!

That's true, I have midiflow but not the in app purchases yet..... but yeah could do a lot of things from there

  • Hi Matt,

We identified the problem and it will be fixed in the next release. Thanks for reporting!

    Take care,

    Geert

  • Cool. Thanks @GeertBevin - I'm really loving Moog's new push in iOS... amazing stuff!

  • Am i the only one having trouble with the prest random button?

It works once or so then creates ZERO sound.

  • @nic_b_nice Are you sure it's not just a long amp envelope attack, zero filter drive, silence timbre, closed filter or something other RANDOM like that?

  • Hit random. Then fiddle.

    You have to fiddle.

Or you can just keep hitting random.

  • Thanks guys...

I'll try some more and hope that its me being a fool =)

  • Hi Matt,

This should be fixed with the just released Animoog for iPhone v1.1.9.

    Take care,

    Geert

Hey @GeertBevin, can you tell me if it is possible to bind Animoog or Filtatron knobs to receive nRPN messages? I'm looking for a way to have finer MIDI control of parameters, the VCO especially.

Thanks for all the work on these great apps!

  • Hi!

Animoog and Filtatron respond to regular MIDI CC messages for MIDI Learn, NRPN messages can't be used.

    Take care,

    Geert

  • Is there a way of having sound pack purchases available to the iPad and iPhone versions on the same account?

thank you for this idea!! Will make recording in the 4track much easier

  • Was really hoping to see the Animoog for iPad app go universal. This would put to rest the IAPs not being restorable between the two devices. @GeertBevin any chance we will see that come to pass?
