CME Xkey 37
Man oh man. I've waited for a while to make a decision but it was freaking worth it.
This thing is so sleek in reality. It looks very cheap on Youtube.
And it's very playable. The best thing about the 37keys is the breakout cable that has midi out for connecting my electribe.
So for whoever has doubts about it, go for it.
I've had many small keyboards Launchkey mini, Akai MPK MK2, The arturia one (which was crap), but this is the one for me!
You can really finger drum on it because of the customizable velocity curves.

How easy is it to change MIDI channels on the fly? That's important on Electribes.

You can't. You can manage it with the free app, but i haven't dug deep into it. Maybe it has a shortcut or smth.
I remember on my M-Audio you pressed some buttons and it had the 16 channels mapped to midi keys. That was very useful.

i like my little nanokey2 from korg (it fits wonderfull in my mobile kit), BUT it cant switch the channel without the editor too, or did i missed it?
WOW. It does. It has an option so when you press pitch + and pitch - at the same time, the first 16 keys are channel keys, and the rest allow you to change after touch and velo curves. NEAT !

Cool. Finally something relatively portable with MIDI Din that can do this. I have a taktile49 that I refuse to part with but the "big" Xkey sounds like a good solution. They really need a Din option for the original.
I'm so tempted to get this but they recently announced XKey Air which has added bluetooth support but only comes out in Nov

Xkey37 is a very well designed keyboard.
1) reliable, even in difficult conditions (humidity, heat, cold)
2) accepts CV input even when bipolar (-5V to +5V)
3) standard keys
4) good editor software (iOS, Mac, PC)
It seems that although it is made for the ipad, it still suffers from iOS' intermitent connection. I can't seem to make it work by its own. It works through a hub though, but that was the main reason I bought it.

I can't get this to work on my Xkey 37 -- is it documented anywhere?
edit: got it working, you have to update the firmware and enable Pitch Functions via the Xkey Plus app
