I think you can do those thing on TriqTraq pretty well. Unfortunately, it has no gated control!
If you really like this kind of things on iPad, maybe 2 or 3 months waiting for Kirnu Cream. It can helps you to do!
Now, you may try to examing TC-Data, It should be your candidate! That should not be difficult to accomplishing! Maybe add some vinyl togethers with Turnado effects.
Hmmm. Interesting ideas @kaikoo, but I only have a iPhone
I see! you have no choice except TriqTraq on iPhone!
I haven't imported samples longer than one shots into TriqTraq yet, but I see where you're going. Still it lacks the stuttering - gated effect and the immediate interactivity of playing on the waveform. Bummer
@audiblevideo
How about Yamaha Synth Book on iPhone! Quite similar on new mixer.
@audiblevideo What about the 'Scratch Disc' app
$4 IAP allows paste and recording functions
The Sound Test Room's demo / tutorial:

What he exactly want is vinyl effect on gated multi-track sequencer! Plus the ability to morph with!
@Proppa Yeah, I did think about the Scratch Disc app. Even if it doesn't "exactly" fit it is quite fun. I think its the combo of waveform playability and the stuttering pitch shifting that seems most appealing.
I played around with the Fingerbeat app in beta and loved the tape (waveform) dragging you can get there. Everyone should check it when it comes out.
I've managed to get realistic vinyl scratching from Egoist, for a track I'm currently making. Works well.
Looptical allows you to load samples to build instruments and play with a scratch interface and there's a trance gate effect to send it to. If I may ask why not just use Dopplerpad and export the results via ACP?
I don't have and didn't want to buy "abandon ware" even though it's only 2 bucks. I'll look into looptical. I'm not against buying dopplerpad just looking for recipe with the apps I have or are current.
@littlewoodg (or anyone) have you tried dopplerpad?
Yep it's fun. Synths with a lot of detail, samples in via ACP, recordings out same way. Sounds and tracks from Dopplerpad make fodder for other apps...
Sector, DJ apps (Traktor, DJay 2, metaDJ, Pacemaker, etc.) ... I emulated a scratch sound on a track in Samplr once but I don't recall how.
Djay2 has a transform effect that is sync with the bpm of the sample
Wow! DopplerPad looks cool.
Protein Der Klang is a universal app that does scratching. Doesn't have a gater but it does have a repeater which is like an unsynced xy pad controlled stutter effect.
It's quite fascinating that in the 'old days' Retronyms did many things right but nowadays it's more meh...
(Would love to have the 'wifi-share' in iMPC Pro and TableTop and AudioCopy for starters).
I've been 'scratching' the 'tape' in the FingerBeat beta just because I can't keep my fingers of the damned thing
(There it's just a matter of importing a file or record to 'tape', loop the tape-portion, hit overdub and start recording your scratching, all on-screen sliders are active for 'transformer' effects. mic-input and beat-box can be mixed in if needed).
So this thing is called dopplerpad and it is not a doppler effect....funny.
I do this with Turnado at 5.25 in this video
@samu fingerbeat sounds cool, be interested to get my hands on it, I applied for beta but no dice
@Jose_Bee I got the 'test-flight link' after two days and have been sending suggestions ideas to the developer on almost daily basis and gotten back replies too where further explanation was needed. It's a super fun app to use and very fast way to capture live audio and mess around with it. For example the built-in tape-recorded can be used to capture the material and sections from the tape can then be sent to pads for sequencing and the result can be overdubbed back to tape if needed with live input, tape-scratching and pad-triggering etc. Naturally it's possible to sample to pads directly and create slices to trigger different parts of the sample or add additional samples.
Being a 'beta' it still has some glitches but those will hopefully be sorted out before it lands in the AppStore. No idea about the price-point but even at higher price-point it will easily be worth it. I've not had so much fun with sampling apps for ages
If you like sampling and sample-sequencing FingerBeat will be hard to beat.
.
@supadom GO FLEKSI!
@firejan82 I have a soft spot for little groovemakers like Protein Der Klang, Bip (please get on the bus), and the aforementioned TriqTraq. I'll try what you suggested in Protein...
@samu I must have mucked about with the tape section more than the rest of the app. Quite addictive.
@jose_bee Ive got DJay2 so I'll give that a whirl too
Yes Protein Der Klang is pretty cool.
Yes, this app was exciting at the time and Retronyms were cutting edge..fond memories of getting Dopplerpad on day of release, jamming with it, and acp into Nanostudio too.
Those days were exciting cause developers were bring apps closer and closer to pro level
Now it's here, things are kind of not as exciting..
