Got refund but app is still in library?!? Is this normal?
Ok so I bought Waldorf attack the other day, but after 3-4 crashes from different things (including hitting save) I decided to request a refund. This is only the second refund I've ever requested and it went through and I got my money back.. But the app is still in my library, and i guess I was expecting the app to disappear off my iPad?.. Is this normal? Do you keep the app regardless? If you do I can see why the refund system is being abused by so many people
The only other app I requested a refund on was impc pro, and since it's still on my purchased apps I thought it was never refunded but now I'm not so sure?

I think so....i got once a refund for Nave and i could use it still. Only when you delete it, then it's gone. Also you will get no updates (i think so). It's no more in my purchased list so i have to buy it again. But i found it unfair to use it and i hated the crashes... so i deleted it
Yes, I think that happens. I refunded 4 times and I always delete the app even before I ask for the refund. But one of those refunds is an IAP and I can't get rid of it. It's a big one too, I could use those gigs.
Yeah I will obviously delete it I really like it but the crashes make it useless.
it was crashing on me, too.. too much
Yeah it was crashing when hitting save, that's just so frustrating. I made a few really cool beats and then lost them by trying to save them..
I'm still considering getting it. The sale is over in a few days. Not a lot of apps with a nice oscilloscope to look at while tweaking the sound.
Yeah I will buy it again once the stability is worked out. It does sound fantastic!
Yeah maybe it will behave on my iPad4.
I'm not sure you'll actually be able to buy it again. Does anyone have a definitive answer about this? I'm under the impression that once an app is refunded on Apple's App Store, you can never get a newer version of it. It's all very confusing, though, so I may be wrong about that.
You can buy an app again in the store. At least i could buy my apps again from which got a refund for... if i wanted so.
Have you actually done this, though? I'm under the impression that in such circumstances, it doesn't charge for it, but just downloads whatever version of the app you'd originally purchased and got refunded.
I didn't tryed it since i have no interest in the apps anymore but normally i see just a "load" when i search for this apps i own (and deleted) in the store. And now i see the price again and i could purchase it like a new app i never owned. And since it's not anymore in my purchased list it's like i never owned it. So it should work.
I'd be very interested to hear from anyone that has taken the final step and actually gone through with re-purchasing an app that they'd previously got refunded. Definitely wouldn't recommend trying to do so unless you actually want to buy the app again in case it charges your account. I'm just not 100% sure that it works in such a logical way as that!
Edit: I knew I'd read this somewhere before.. http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/104379/is-is-possible-to-re-purchase-an-app-for-which-i-requested-a-refund
I returned cubasis, got a refund and re-purchased it soon after.
As long as you have still have the app installed, there will not be a buy button in your ios devices App store, but rather an open button.
Not sure if I uninstalled cubasis to be able to re-purchase it on my device or simply bought it again using itunes on my PC. Regardless it worked.
As expected I got charged, refunded and then charged again.
Oh that's useful to know, thanks. It's more logical than I'd feared it might be!
That's absolutely NO GO,plays in the same league like Cubasis undo bug (which is still not completely solved, frustratingly). It's really annoying if developer rushes out their stuff too early without testing it more carefully.
