A beginner friendly iOS drum machine for live performance?
Hi everyone, not sure if this has been asked before. but is there an iOS drum machine app that functions somewhat like a Beatbuddy? i.e. live-music friendly has very nice un-robotic sounding drum sounds with many preset genres/rhythms to choose from?
Here is the link for reference! http://mybeatbuddy.com/
I perform alone professionally and would love to have a beat to back the music every now and then! Really appreciate any help I can get here, thanks!

Rock Drum Machine: http://audiob.us/get/549/Rock-Drum-Machine
You could look at DrumJam. I love this app. Lots of ethnic sounds but also some rock drums etc...
Or maybe Garage Band for mix and match rhythms?
The two I was going to suggest are already suggested so... +1.
I recommend Beat Machine, http://appshopper.com/music/beat-machine
and DrumStudio. http://appshopper.com/music/drum-tab
Both have song mode, load samples play different time signatures, (not just 4/4)
We have had this discussion before, and the quick answer, not withstanding the fine apps mentioned above, is no.
The closest you could probably get would be to make a set of loops for loopy or some such and then control with irig blue board or something similar.
MidiBand 3.1 is a great option. You can load up a nice rythm style and select various sections for you song. So you can with the built in mixer mute all the other virtual instruments and have only the drums play. You can purchase Yamaha styles or find hundreds of free user made styles online.
If you prepare ahead of time, you cam record your jam and load it up in a midi player like Roland Sound Canvas and rock away. I love this app cause as a one man band musician it is a dream come true if you love playing in real time with virtual band players.
It only costs less than $5 bucks so its worth it.
I have all the other above mentioned great apps and love them too! So have fun and explore!
you could try drum beats+
DrumJam is great for live.
Today I tested DrumJam again (it's been awhile since I've purchased it)...
It's very easy to forget all your fantastic apps you gotten on your iPad!
DrumJam is just like ThumbJam rocksolid, sounds great, and, is a jewlery in the iOS communitys palett...
The problem for a lot of us (buying every musicapps out there) it's drowning among so much other awesome apps!
The last year or so has been a very big step forward in every category; drums, synth, soundscapes etc!
I'm glad to supporting every developer out there in the iOS community!
Go for DrumJam!
I gave a lot of those apps a go! (those with free trials anyway) and I think so far the simplest to operate with enough variation in the playing goes to Rock Drum Machine! Will experiment more and report back!
Yeah Rock Drum Machine is a super favorite!
We're just waiting for the update that will add Midi Sync. That will be so awesome!
Please Luis? MIDI some day?
Another vote for drumjam, great live or in the studio, plus bedlam:)
Yea comprehensive Midi support (incl in and out) for Rock Drum Machine would be superb because DrumPerfrct supposedly has much higher quality sounds!
