I hear you on that. You spend most of your life working so it should be something you at least like. I know from personal experience getting paid a lot for being miserable with high stress isn't worth it.
It's interesting how much of our mood, creativity, happiness, etc is dependent on chemicals like hormones. I guess that's why anti depressants are a big business!
And yet anti-depressants stifle creativity and sex drive. At least there's a special place in rock n' roll heaven for the psychonauts.
Hell yeah! I took many trips when I was young and full of idealism. I was really into The Doors of Perception, Leary, etc.
Those were my Beatles, Pink Floyd, Bowie, and Doors days. I was also really into prog rock like King Crimson, ELP, Brian Enough, Robert Frip, Zappa, etc. Good times.
And then there's "Tea".
