Cubasis on sale

Cubasis just went on sale for $29.99. I had been planing on buying it but changed my mind when Auria Pro was announced. I really like Auria. Is there any good reason to have both assuming Auria Pro lives up to what we've seen in Auria?
What's special in Cubasis?

Comments

  • Auria pro does not exist yet (to purchase i mean) and cubasis is now on sale and its great!

Theres a good reason right there!

  • I personally would like my money back rather than spending it on Cubasis, just don't use it much, but many, many do and happily. I am also much looking forward to Auria Pro, but it is an unknown, whereas there is chapter and verse out there about the state of Cubasis today. I think a good question to ask yourself would be; do I need what I think I need today or can I wait? And then of course, how much do the savings matter to me?

Actually I am 100% happy with Auria and it does everything I really need as a guitar player now. Guess I'll try to hold out.

  • The new version of Cubasis is about to drop, it seems to be the trend that when there is an update the App goes on sale.

  • I don't think Auria Pro will be long now. Beta is just around the corner.

  • Cubasis at this price is a NO BRAINER!
I use it a lot and although the midi is not perfect, it works. It records beautifully, and you can load up a midi file and all the midi tracks are auto loaded with instrument sounds. You can even export your tracks to Auria later to mix even more if that is what you wish..

I would say, at this price if you need a great DAW with midi, then go for it.

  • I also like that you can import your Cubasis projects into Cubase

  • What version is cubasis in now and does anyone know what the proposed updates are for the upcoming version?
Taking me back to my Pro24 days! Lol :-)

the main thing they are talking about is 64 bit support

  • Been checking the forums and there are a few gripes about stability issues, does it cause any major issues?
Noticed it has 1st class AB implementation, that's a plus :-)

The update will arrive very soon, the app is on sale for a limited time ...

    Best,
    Lars

  • I hope the snapping bug is fixed that prevents low numbers for program changes

    Hi Nick,

We are not aware of an issue here.

Setting grid to off should allow to set both individual numbers for program changes and finer values for other automation parameters.

    Best,
    Lars

I'm confused, are you saying the issue is fixed in the new version or that you consider the current behavior "as intended" to begin with?

    Hi Lars,

wouldn't you think that people want to snap to bars etc and still be able to put in low values?

it is a workaround to turn snapping off, but with snapping on I still want to be able to input individual numbers. in other words, I want horizontal snapping but not vertical snapping, at least the option to do this.

  • I would like sensitivity control on the fingers zoom.

Already posted that a while ago into their forums... still holding my fingers crossed :))

If you're trying to zoom with your fingers crossed, I think I've found the sensitivity problem.
