Oh man, and if Egoist would have a one day dip -- instabuy. I can't justify $30 on a single app, but might have to pull the trigger on it either way if all remains quiet on the Samplr front.
So when does this sale usually start?
Mitosynth. Does it even ever go on sale?
@monzo the weird thing is that while I haven't done much with Attack, it still feels like a quality bigboy app....
It definitely looks the part, and the sort of app I'd spend a tenner on, but the negative feedback and lack of tracks shared using it has put me off. Plus the last thing I need at the moment is another buggy app...
If there were more people raving about it and showcasing it's talents I'd be tempted, but it's been awfully quiet...
@monzo erm, yeah, I hear you. Hey, at least you made it through the night. Enjoy the rest of your day off....
Thanks, had to cut short my romp in the hills due to rain, back just in time to catch the pneumatic tar thumping-down machine going backwards and forwards under my window. Mrs Monzo's back in a bit and skiving too though so a nice lunch beckons
This, also seekbeats the two on my wishlist I'd been holding back on
Maybe sample it while it's there, although if it's wet you'll get the swooshing of cars too, if you live by a road that is, turn the annoying sound of industrial machinery outside your house into interesting fodder for your tracks.
Most of my stuff sounds like roadworks already
I noticed you mentioned Pembrokeshire in another thread - we were there for a few days a couple of weeks back - lovely place.
Just three days including travel, wanted to spend tuesday by the beach as we heard the weather would be good, turned out to be a fantastic day, did the costal walk from st justinians to white sands and landed just as the tide was going out, then went and spent the rest of the afternoon chilling at newgale beach. I like the abstract nature and experimentation of your tracks monzo, I should comment more on the stuff I like hearing on here, would be interesting to hear what you would do with the monstrous sounds of heavy road work machinery, especially put through a granular device:)
Mrs Monzo?
Me and monzo were trying to keep our secret marriage, secret, you cad!
@mister_rz Everything's legal in the most of the places any urbane man might want to visit these days. All good.
I'm not sure, but I think JG was comparing Mrs Monzo to a 'granular device'....I'll tell her that.
Thanks for the musical compliments, I try and come up with something new each month, I get bored of the same old things (Mrs Monzo?) and the iPads great for mucking about, when it works.
I've been to Newgale beach a few times but only got as far south as St David's this visit - we stayed in Newport which was a lovely place, even the old granular device enjoyed herself.
@mister_rz. Surely I know of Nothing other than being Dr. Goodyear a gentleman par excellance, a virtue to achieve I'm still bound to reach myself.
sunrizer, iSEM, iProphet, and Peter Vogel CMI Pro
@crzycrs too kind sir, I'm sure.
@monzo @mister_rz the thing about poor poetry much like music-making is it is often in the unintended places one finds delight. The Granular Device I think will have to be the title for some collection of pieces about marriage (in all its forms). Perfect on many levels once one begins the deconstruction of it...
Like some feminist material dialectic deconstructivism, you mean ... ?
Post-feminist mate, I saw Fury Road and I once included Susan Sontag in a verse lyric.
Cool. Let me discover.
Plagued by mosquitos now outside.
Have to regress for a while in my cave.
None.I want to pay a little more for a 100% bug free app.
I dont understand why people want Sunrizer for a discount price since the normal price is already a discount price.Dont wait for only 5 dollars/euro and just buy this awesome synth.
Lemur, I'd buy it for £4.99
I might nick that title for the track I'm doing at the moment. Auria's behaving perfectly tonight, looks like IAA is the thing
Be my guest and strike while the iron is at least moderate etc.
I’m British, not American — when’s this weird “July 4th” thing the US lot are having?
Free us from the durn colonial overlords!
(I find, after all these years, my mid-atlantic twang hardens as these days of flags and canons approach...
Auria Pro update I think has been long time coming however with the announcement of AU support in iOS 9 I think that just delayed things a couple more months.
I fear for my pension now I've revealed our arrangement to the world, polygamy is illegal in my city, but come to think of it my first marriage was a hippy wedding, maybe I'm safe. The granular device (deconstruction of my many marriages mix) is indeed a catchy title for a track, I might start something once my backlog of tracks I've been working on for many years has left the harbour.
Blushes, I spoke too soon, if I compared my lover to a granular device I'd get the wtf look, but then again I'm always compared to animals, at the moment it's a whale especially when I'm sunning myself on the beach. First time I ever saw newgale with the tide out was on our latest trip, is an amazing beach, always liked the vibe there especially when you come over the hill on the a487 from haverfordwest, stunning.
I personally can't wait to start some new stuff, put some of the vibe I soaked up in pembrokeshire down, my usual workflow is working on multiple tracks at once, but I'm trying to finish stuff as I get too distracted by the next tune. I do love abstract music so my the granular device track might well end up being an abstract drum and bass track, just wish I'd sampled the waves hitting the stone part of the beach at newgale as they were receding.
A gentleman held in the highest esteem, I fear I'll never reach that level as I never went to finishing school, I'm into pre/post feminist philosophy, which cancels out gender roles and philosophies.
Good post all round Admiral.
I am also (many of us are) beset by the many irons in the fire/few final horseshoes actually produced. May I recommend the SOTMC again.
when you come over the hill

(she's) stunning
I fine opening verse, I think.....
It's when the American colonists gave the finger to King George. My ancestors were still living in England, Germany, and Swiss
