I have launchpad, but am not familiar with a pro version. I've had the launchpad app from day one. Many people did not like it due to its limitations, but I knew that they were going to update and add features. Now with the ability to add my own samples, it is an even better tool.
The Pro refers to the hardware controller. There is only one version of the app.

I've got the Launchpad Mini which is great with the app.
I don't think it is actually out yet. Still listed as coming soon on its page and Amazon says it will ship in 1-3 months. I have been drooling about this since it was announced.
