New Garage Band with "Alchemy" like synth, has actually Alchemy.
Opening a project from GB in Logic, appears to have Alchemy loaded in the channel strip, BUT Logic complains that there's no plugin "Alchemy" installed. So I guess it's bundled somehow in the GB binary.
Also, you can't edit the plugin window ![]()

I'm thinking we'll see a Logic Pro X update pretty soon...
Nope. Check "Download additional content". Problem solved.
I love Apple!
For what I've paid for Logic, man, it's the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!
Hmm... My Logic Pro X 10.1.1 says all additional content is installed (well, all but the 15,7GB's of Drumkit).
Mine has installed "Garage Band 11 Legacy smth", And in /Library/Application Support/Logic, I can see "Alchemy samples", but I guess we need a Logic update too, because although I see the presets in library, it still doesn't find the plugin.
I have the 'Garage Band 11' pack installed in Logic Pro X but no 'Alchemy Samples' folder, then again i have an ancient Garageband installed (6.0.5 something) never bothered to get the new GarageBand since i already got Logic Pro X..
Oh well, I think we'll see an update soon anyway
I'm hoping the logic version will be able to use the old sound libraries.
