Cubasis MIDI to Steel Guitar, Zed Synth problem
I tried searching our forums to no avail.
Problem A
I must be absolutely dense, because I'm trying to send MIDI from Cubasis into Yonak Steel Guitar. Nothing works. I have BG audio on, read through the manual, used it both as IAA and with "traditional routing", etc, and I'm stumped. How do I get a sound out of this with MIDI notes?
Problem B
I have the same problem with Zed Synth. In fact, I have no idea where the settings menu is.
Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure there is no midi note-in functionality on Steel guitar other than midi in to control bending notes ala pedal steel guitar. You have to play slide guitar on the device. Not sure how you would get the slide aspect to work with midi notes in anyway.
There's always the pitch bend and mod wheel. Kinda sucks that it has to be played manually as I don't know what I'm doing really. (I play piano, lol.) This is fine for Soundscape building though, as Soundscapes are often experimental and improvised.
Steel guitar midi input is not working for me either. Tried using it with Thumbjam, & TB MIdi Stuff, & nothing. Maybe need to email them about it.
I think you have to purchase the whole enchilada to get midi and it is not designed for midi note in only for midi control in to emulate the pedals on a pedal steel and to control effects. From a thread back in early May "Looks like MIDI channels are for control of pedal params, not note sequencing...1-6 appear in midi learn for the first six pedals".

If you contact Yonac please let us know what they say to confirm this for sure.
I did purchase the Whole Enchilada right when Steel Guitar was first released. I just got around to learning it. I'll email Yonac.

As for ZedSynth: double tap "Overview" button (lower leftish middle main page) then double tap "Settings" bottom button leftmost side, you'll jump to the Settongs panel which is actually just to the right of Overview....you see a slice of dials under the Settings heading, MIDI channel select is there on the left column, second dial down.
I was bummed about Steel Guitars lack of MIDI note in...the app has a great sound.
