Probably sacrilege , but I much prefer my 25 year old bottom of the range Ibanez to any of the strats I've played on recently at my mates local guitar shop. Particularly the Mexican ones. I prefer the shape of the neck, the weight, the fingerboard, the HSS config., etc.
I love hearing Hendrix n Gilmour n Page n Clapton n Knopfler et al playing strats but it's just about me and what feels good in my hands.
Now a SG or a Jimmy Page Les Paul ..now that's a different story of lust and desire...
Sneaky bastard played a Telecaster through a Supro. The rest was just marketing.
It's monday, no sign of the expansion packs yet...
I noticed that as well. hmm.............
And the price is back up to US$30.
Update just arrived. 3 packs at $9.99 each, individual effects 2.99 each, no 'Motherload' deal as far as I can see.
That sucks. The ToneStack mother load was a hell of a deal when I bought it. $20 plus 3 packs at $10 each is $50. I have the Tone Stack Motherload, Aplitude, and the Jimi Hendrix Amplitude.
For me is it worth the $50? If it was something radically different it might be worth it but it looks very similar to what I have now.
That's what I thought it would be. Hmmm.... That would make it a $60.00 app. sheesh........... They make good products, but it's gettin expensive.
Oh cool, the Fooger Ring Mod is in there too. I'll see about doing a comparison between my real-world phaser and the one in here tonight.
As long as there's no iPhone support I'm not interested in Bias FX.
First impressions:
Distortion pedals are very good, really like the Thrash Master and the Tube Driver. I don't play any metal type music but these are good for grunge though.
Modulation is a mixed bag, some interesting phasers and chorus pedals and the ring mod, but not really any better than the ones in Tonestack, whereas the distortion pedals probably are. The Whammy is awful, TS has two pitch-shifting pedals that are way better than anything by Positive Grid. My favourite iOS chorus pedal is still the one in Flying Haggis
I was disappointed by the reverbs, the Ambient Reverb in particular really didn't sound good to my ears.
hmm.... I was hoping the FX would be better, make ya say WOW! I expected the distortion to be good, it usually always is from PG. shame the other FX aren't up to snuff. A lot of blowback on FB, users saying the FX pacs only include 9 pedals(FX) instead of the 10 that each pack claims it comes with. Any verification on this at all?
So far, I've only purchased the classic effects pack and for the most part I like what I'm hearing, and, to be honest, I do think the Uni-Vibe is much better of the Tonestack one, which sounded a rather dull to me, after hearing the PG version, but that's the only direct comparision I've made so far. I did try to match up settings and sound as much as possible.
There is some controversy over what was announced on FB only days ago and what's actually in the packs now. The original announcements listed 10 effects for each of the first two packs, and nine for the third, as it turns out there are nine in each pack, and some have been shuffled around. A few interesting RW ones seem to have been replaced with generic effects (Reverse Delay and Ping Pong, also known from JamUp) too. The Effects Powerhouse pack seems to be affected (no pun intended) the most.
these were listed originally but aren't in the actual line-up:
Zvex® Fuzz Factory
Bogner® Ecstasy Blue Overdrive Pedal
Electro-Harmonix® POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator Pedal,
So far, no reaction by PG to the comments on FB. I'm not on FB myself so did not take part in the discussion.
Nine is correct.
Thanks for verifying guys! the Zvex, and Bongner are the two that I think have people raising hell.

Positive Grid: Not at this time Mike. $9.99 each for each pack.
Positive Grid: Alright! Thx for the feedback too
Nothing related to the questions about missing FX.
After update the Tremolo effect has changed a lot. It is useless for my purposes now. I used to use it for a very subtle trem effect, but that is not possible anymore. Not happy about this. Shall use Johnny instead as trem effect.
Since they are not on sale I see no point in buying them untilI I need the specific effects. $9.99 is a deal for 9 effects, but only if most are good and only if you need several of them all. If there was a Motherload for a reasonable price I'd have gotten it already.
Ya, I saw you mention that on FB @Marcel.
I haven't decided on the packs yet, I do want the Thrash pedal though......
If they actually got the POG2 right I would buy this even if it's iPad only. That pedal is fantastic! But I see they didn't include it now at all. I can wait.
Positive Grid :They are coming, as promised, in the packs as advertised, just coming a little late.
Have you tried the POG emulation in Tonestack? Seing as the Whammy in BIAS is pretty terrible I would imagine the POG will be similarly bad.
Yes I tried that but it's really not that good imho. I have the real pedal and that sounds much better.
