Auria and Aufx:push - Compressor/Expander Questions
Searching the internets on how to blend out recorded ambient 'noise', left me (amateur) wondering with questions.
Wavepad can take a noise profile and apply gate and 'spectral subtraction'. TwistedWave with 'dynamic processing' effect, dialling in specific expansion and then compression values could bring a cit. 'clean' result;
I don't own these, but have Aufx:push and Auria instead, being intrigued by both of them, alas, I struggle upon logics & complexity (in general).
Now, my thinking tends to opening aufx in an aux insert in auria's channel strip, (maybe the vocal preset) to bundle their energies, while I'm at loss with how the settings on the gate, exp., comp. etc. are to be taken into consideration. (Lowering the threshold to the noise floor, low attack and release, low ratio and gain, presumably)
If you're in the mood for deciding over the usefulness of this idea, or alternatives (fab plugins) and sending forth wise advice, I'm thankful!
P.s.: Or on sidechaining, in this context.
