Soundcloud Doesn't Work Anymore
Can anybody help? For some reason I can't listen to the music posted in this forum per soundcloud.
There is only a grey field with the soundcloud logo, but no link or anything.I did not change anything in
the safari settings.iPad4 ,iOS 8.4
Comments
Not working for me either.
Ok for me on air2 iOS 8.4
Not working on my laptop either.
This is with everything updated, iOS 8.4 and OS X 10.10.4.
I get the same thing, just an empty box with the Soundcloud logo.
It's private browsing, at least for iOS. I turned off private browsing on my iPad and now it works.
@1P18 Sorry for this probably stupid question but where do I find this option?
Thanks in advance for your help!
It's private browsing for Mac OS X too. For iOS, pinch close the tab/window in Safari and you will see a Private button which turns that on and off.
SoundCloud seems to be working for me, ipad4 still running 8.3 however I can't load the "Post a Weird sound Here" thread, not sure if that is related. It loads partially then goes blank with an error about Safari trying to reload it. I want to hear the weird sounds!
That's because there are too many soundcloud links on a single page and Safari doesn't like it.
SoundCloud is shit, but we are held hostage cause there's no alternative
Can't even post to groups or edit things on safari on my iPad
And the iOS app is just pointless, made for listeners only
SoundCloud just don't like to make things better for content providers do they..
And upload time is a lot slower these days
Couldn't even listen to gadget cloud last nite either
It's kind of like Facebook, in that they want you to be their lab rat.
This is sadly very true! Some years ago soundcloud was really great and it had better features and workflow especially for artists. Now it's a "facebooked" crap full of spam made for famous artists and listeners only. But do we wonder that everything goes commercial today? No! I delete my accounts 1-2 times a year and create a new ones to spread some tunes here and there. There are some alternatives but not really good ones.
Sometimes it's not good when something get "too" big. (....like soundcloud, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung....etc., etc...)
The logical solution would be for bandcamp to get more social, interactive..
Bandcamp is good if you have a name. If you are unknown you will not reach much people. But i think every platform today grows into a huge commercial "facebooked" social networked thing, since there is the money. As independent artist it's hard today to even spread your work for free. But that's how it is. You just need to meet the right people at the right time It's no more about talent (of course a bit), it's more about marketing and your social "genius". You-tube is a good way to go these days maybe...
@Schimanski and @1nsomniak
Working fine here, air2 ios 8.3
However I did get an error the first time i got there, but it resolved after loading again. I mean when I went to the Make A Weird Noise Here thread.
We had a problem in the song of the month club thread (i think it was the May thread) were Safari crashed cause it had too many SoundCloud posts in 1 page. Safari can't handle that and it crashes.
Perhaps the amount of free working memory resolves the issue in your case. I use the free app Smart Memory to make room for processes.
the problem was solved by turning off "private browsing" like 1P18 said.
Thanks again!
