  • Well.......July 14 is over where I am!

  • I guess July 14 is the new April 1.

And there's a lot of iPod fans on this forum :)

  • I'm one of them.

  • http://www.apple.com/shop/ipod looks new to me =)

I wonder about ram? Did it get the 2GB?

  • A8 chip!!!

  • ...but clocked at 1.1GHz instead of the iPhone 6 1.39 GHz. Still a massive upgrade from the last model.

  • but why get one of these over an iPhone or iPad mini or iPad?

  • Cost and no contract.

Specs look interesting. So Apple didn't give up on the iPod Touch after all.

Why get one of these? Because you've got a super portable mini-mini-iPad without being disturbed by annoying phone calls and bathing in cancer causing cell phone radiation all day long. (yeah I know Im a crazy health freak)

  • This looks a great device, better than a iPad Air spec wise. And oh so tiny. Lots of new usage scenarios open up with such a portable device.

  • If only it had the large screen of the latest iPhones!

  • iPods will now provide cheers for those who cannot afford iPads or iPhones, but musically speaking, very very restricted . It seems the iPhone music app is a dying breed.

Ok u got Nanostudio , beat maker 2, dm1, sunriser , animoog, even audulus..the fx by Jonathan and holderness , caustic etc , a good few apps ..

But the screen size ...and no gadget....

  • Not unless I read right, but you can only buy the 128gb through Apple themselves. I hope they change this idea, & eventually buy the 128gb version via the retail shops?

  • I actually am interested in this, would be nice for podcasts and music. I had the first gen and it's nice just having a device dedicated to music. The extra processing power is a bonus too

  • 64gb version most likely

  • Also canopener is a great replacement for the standard music app ;)
