Sector: Verdict on the update?

How is Sector after the update?

Does the MIDI work well?

Can you play each sector with individual keys?

Does Sector take up a lot of space?

Thanks!

  • Works great. Yes, you can play individual sectors with individual keys.

  • I'm having a blast with sector in the background controlled by the beatstep, while playing whatever I want on the iPad screen! It make so much sense now :)
It takes 50mb on my iPad right now, with 8 or 9 custom presets

  • There's still a slight lag when playing tight beats alongside other apps, especially while recording. I've tried it with GB and samplr so far. It seems a bit hit and miss actually. At times it is fine, then it drifts. Not sure why. Loopy + Samplr sync is more stable but I'm not sure exactly why.

  • I had to delete this app a few months ago cause All I was making was acid tripping mad hatter twerked out music, haha! I did fall in love but then I had to breakup. Now that the new update with midi is here, maybe I will ask her out again. No drifting clock please, and play nice with my homies (apps) .

I;m curious as well about thoughts.
    Supadom: that sucks! Damn

  • Well, if you have it @oceansinspace then you should probably give it a try. It might work in your particular set up. As I said 'hit and miss' so maybe it is something that I'm doing that Sector doesn't like. When I first fired it up within GB it worked well for a bit.

  • Oh yeah, I be this dev's stuff no matter as he is the mad hatter. Sliver too!

supdom: Hell I don't even know what I'd do with the midi really besides clock. But then due to my lack of skill probably just randomize some loops and go off on an acid tangent. This may or may not be good. Any midi is good midi unless its misleading. Like a drum machine app with drifty clock. This I bet can be achieved through sector. Alas I I will try clock and hell: trigger points on a keyboard.
