  • Getting the same thing here. (IPad 4, newest iOS ) a shame, 'cos I'm an absolutely massive fan and was really fired up by Doug's video.
Good thing is, their customer service is really good, so I'm sure they're working on it. I must add though, that given the nightmare some of us had with the disappearing sound packs when Canto came out, I'd have hoped for a bit more care this time out.
Right now, that's by the by: I NEED that sound pack as I have a week in Madrid starting on Monday and MUST write a symphony or die!!!!!!
    (no pressure, then.)

  • Haha!Good luck with your symphony...What I don't understand is: doesn't anybody test
an update before it is released?

  • I saw on Twtter that they are working to resolve an AppStore problem...hopefully they'll get this straightened out soon.

  • Yes,I contacted their support and got an answer within minutes: seems to be an applestore issue. One of my most important apps!btw

I know. You'd think right? I do know that every dev is different and some only test on a few devices.

What would be the ideal? Testing every model including different ram sized versions of the same product? It could get crazy.

  • I love isymphonic too. Does anybody know how to changer the attack speed? I know there's a velocity curve but it doesn't seem to change the attack speed of the samples, unless I'm doing something wrong. Some fabulous sounds but a lot seem to fade in too slowly. Some ADSR sliders would be perfect.

  • Any ideas?
    Pretty please........

  • @AndyE The only way I can think of (because I do it this way myself) is to mix your
main sound with a LITTLE BIT of "Chamber Arco Strings". This way you get some more
attack.Make sure you set both sounds to the same midichannel.Maybe this works for you
    too.

  • Interesting. I'll give it a go. Thank you.

  • Just wanna add that I also contacted their customer support and they replied just a minute or two later, explaining that the fault lay at Apple's end and they hoped to rectify it 'within hours'
    Anyone try yet today?

  • Its working now :)

  • Oh sweet! Thanks. I'll let it load at work and that'll be this evening sorted.

I have a Problem now with the latest iSymphonic 1.5.5 Update on IPAD AIR .
Although nothing Midi is connected it always shows MIDI Connections: 1
Once i plug in any Keyboard i have shown: Midi Devices Connected 2 and have a Strings Patch playing alltime beside as a 2nd voice at any Patch if Vocals or Drums using the keyboard
which is not appearing when i play on the Ipad Keys.
I do use Irig Keys Pro, a Yamaha Keyboard and IOS 8.3 here.
This is not happening on IPAD Mini.

    Isymphonic Orchestra 1.7.7 Update
    Updated: Dec 20, 2015

Crudebytes added 4 new Soundpacks for each 11,99 Euro, prizing as usual.

    Source: Itunes

Four new additional Sound Sets added as optional in-app purchases:
    • Ottone Sound Set (21 Sounds: Tuba, Trumpet, Horns, Cimbasso and more, requires 750 MB additional SSD space).
    • Voce Sound Set (21 Sounds: mixed choirs, boys choirs and more, requires 510 MB additional SSD space).
    • Varia Sound Set (17 Sounds: solo strings, spiccato strings, tremolo strings, various wind instruments and more, requires 1.1 GB additional SSD space).
    • Perla Sound Set (19 Sounds: Pearls of our orchestra sounds and thus a wide collection of sounds, requires 1.1 GB additional SSD space).

If anyone bought one of those or knows a Site where we can hear samples of the new Sound Packs id be very thankful. Please if u can also tell if there are again MONO Audio "combined Instruments" added to the Soundpacks which i entire dislike.

Dunno why Crudebytes never releases Demos / Audios of their Soundpacks anywhere except Soundtestroom partly reviews them thankfully. This should be a Part of Crudebytes In App Purchase ( Audio Samples ) or a part of their Main Website content.

I had a similar problem on my iPad Air which was fixed by reinstalling the app. Still occasional glitches, but at least mostly playable now.

  • Thx for the reply. Its working now again :)
Post was a bit elder and i forgot to reply to it.
Reinstalling made it actually working again so your tip was accurate.

  • Only a recent convert to this. Amazing how one app can lead you back to another. In this case Fugue spiked my itch again and I must say I am pleased I dived in, despite the cost and size....quite lovely.

  • No love for Tosca or Organ sound sets?

Didn't bother with the Organ as there seem to be a few kicking around in other packs and it's just not a sound direction I go in, but Tosca IS very nice....some good choral sounds (which, I admit, I'm a sucka for). Happy with the pricey purchase...

You mean Angie? :) Let's be clear, the thingies in the thingies aren't anywhere close to being good enough for you if you're looking for the Angie/Maria realm of quality :) But then those girls won't pop round to mine to do a quick warble for $14.99 neither :) Seriously, the patches are nice (especially once you add some extra Fabfilter gravy), but even with practice, no Carnegie Hall....

Thanks Johnny for your observations, Tosca sounds lovely..off to go purchase :)

I thought I was the only one with this problem! None of the patches seem to attack as soon as you hit a chord which is a huge problem for me, so I typically use other apps for strings but these don't sound nearly as good as iSymphonic. I've tried mixing it with other apps with stronger attack but nothing usable yet.... :/

Hmmm. Have just been through 40 or 50 patches and have found things like Cello which respond immediately, but this is in the 'Pro' pack....whereas you're absolutely right that many in the base pack seem to be slow onset....I suppose my first question would be what IAP packs do you have? I think they've done a poor job of issuing sounds (too many are lovely but mixed etc) or at least in a poor order. I just purchased the Tosca pack (I think) which has a lovely solo trumpet (with immediate attack :), but I think that should have been made available in the base set...

Thanks, I have not made any IAP and have just used base pack. I'm looking for quality strings that sound as soon as I hit them rather than swell. Can you make some suggestions for IAP?

Well, I think they're buggers by spreading out the individual sounds across the packs :(

You can take a sample of the different packs I think if you go to the IAP page and it will depend on what sounds you favor. The keys patches are all quick starting, but dominated by pianos, harps etc. The Aulos is more woodwind, flute, bassoon etc....actually now I'm going back through them many start quickly....would really depend on the instrument mix you preferred. If there's any specific ones you want me to take a look at/report on I'll be happy to. For my sins, I have almost all of them...

  • I'm looking for a spicatto patch that doesn't have what feels like large latency (the issue isn't latency), and also a great brass section stab patch. Its a bit expensive to buy what you hope will be the patches on,y to find they don't do it for you... and the demo Vids, don't play enough if the set. Greta app though - especially the patch change behaviour, that keeps the current sound going on sustained notes.

  • Should have proof read my typing above :/
