Audiobus Remote won't connect
I am trying to get Audiobus remote to connect to Audiobus on an iPad 2. However, when the app on my phone gets to the screen that says "Bring Audiobus to the foreground on another device and make sure that Bluetooth is enabled", nothing happens, even though the screen is up and bluetooth is on. Your help is appreciated, I can't wait to use this app!

iPad 2 its not compatible with audiobus remote. Its says that on the App description on the App Store, iPad 3 si the oldest iPad supported.
It's the Bluetooth hardware in the iPad 2 that's not compatible. iPad 3 was the first (iPad) to have Bluetooth 4.0, which is what is required.
Yes, sorry. iPad 2 cannot connect via Bluetooth Low Energy. The first iPad supporting this was the iPad 3 and then the iPad mini.
Auuuuugh that's a bummer. I know it's a longshot, but is there any possibility of a workaround? Is there a way I can get a refund if this app isn't going to work for me? Who would I need to contact? Thank you for your help.

Not to belittle the value of $5, but is that really necessary? I'm a fellow iPad2 owner as well, they made it quite clear that it required iPad3 or higher. $5 to support the same team that makes all of this music-making possible in the first place isn't the worst thing to spend money on. Heck, I would pay $5 a year just to belong to this forum. (Please don't actually charge us, Sebastian ).
You can't use the Remote right now, but if you ever buy another Apple device in your lifetime, which seems rather likely, you'll have the remote ready to go for your new device. Think of it as a deferred benefit for a good cause.
Yes it is, and you should be able to get a refund if you feel you need it. I think the app description didn't initially include clear description that it was for iPad 3 and later.
There is no workaround, because the app uses the bluetooth 4.0 or Bluetooth LE, which is a hardware upgrade from previous bluetooth technology.
@StormJH1 Not to belittle the value of supporting our favorite devs, but I think anyone is entitled to a refund if they did not receive what they expected. ;-)
By the way, welcome to the forum @curveball527 !
Hopefully you'll find lots of other good info here for making the most of your second iOS device to control your Audiobus apps. If you are new to iOS music, do some reseach on "Network MIDI" between iOS devices and peruse the AppStore for MIDI Designer Pro, TB MIDI Stuff, and Lemur.
Thank you for the help! I'm afraid I'm going to have to be looking into a refund, unfortunately. I do use TouchOSC extensively and love it, but creating templates can be a bit time consuming.
