Audiobus remote won't connect between iphone 4s and ipad air2 -solved

I'm using the latest ios version in both devices. The wifi module of my old iphone 4s is broken, but the bluetooth is functional. I have tried rebooting, resetting internet on both devices and still no luck. Dose anyone having same prolem?

I'm using iPhone 4s and iPad Air2. No problems with connection. Bluetooth switched on on both devices, then just followed the instructions presented by the remote app. Both my devices are on iOS 8.3

Thanks for the tips, but I tried that before and still can't connect them. I wonder if this is something related to the broken wifi module. I'll try delete and re-install the app later.

@ethan831231 - Just curious, what is your other device? Also, have you tried running the remote on the other device?

edit: duh, iPad air2 - wasn't paying full attention to the post title.

I can borrow a ipad mini(1st generation) from my wife to test if it'll work (probably will I guess). But I really want it to work on the 4s. Since the remote app connects via BT, but not wifi. I can finally have some usage of the old device.

  • OK, I just tried to paired my iPad air 2 and iPad mini(1st). Everything is nice and easy. Moreover, I just found out that the bluetooth and the wifi modules are actually integrated. Therefore, an iphone with a broken wifi means the bluetooth is probably dead, too. End of the sad story...TT

  • Sorry to hear that. Maybe get an old iPad 3 from ebay?

On the bright side, you now have a genuine reason for a new ipad
