Can DrumJam do MPC-style note repeats? Synced/quantized to Cubasis' clock? Someone suggested this in a different thread.
It can sync to external clock, and yes the repeats will be sync'd to it. I would offer that DrumJam does its own style of repeats, but I'll let others answer that...
Its these type of responses from developers that make the IOS experience extra especial!
I bought all new packs and they're very good. Quantize is very cool too! One thing I would like to suggest for the pad section of both DJ and TJ: I would love to See what MIDI note and what kind of sound is linked to each pad. Maybe also have the waveform of the sample show across the whole length of the pad. This would make it much less of a "trial and error - jam and see if anything good comes out of it" experience. And on a touch screen device why not? It would be a great advantage over non touchscreen MIDI controllers. Maybe also color code pads so a kick drum or similar low sound always gets associated with blue, a snare or similar with red, a cymbal with yellow for example. It would be useful for the custom kits too, which I'm really looking forward to!
Great ideas!
NEVERMIND: Does Drumjam work as an interapp audio instrument with a transport panel or is it just a generator?
EDIT: hah, there it is on the app store screen shot! BUY!
After almost a week with Drumjam v1.32 I wonder, is there any funnier or more groovie app out there for iOS?
Jesse has made two (Drumjam/Thumbjam) of the most valued apps in the whole appstore history!
With Drumjam your're never get bored if you really are into rythm...
To you all that has'nt bought any IAP-drums to Drumjam yet, support this now, this ain't gonna be a better developer out there than the fantastic Jesse Cambell (ok, there's a few other great devs too ;-))
All true.
I love just playing a commercial track without much drumming on it in Spotify and then working out the BPM and DrumJaming along.
Plus of course using it for my own productions.
Well i put a few hours into drumjam... The iaa transport panel doesnt show up but at least it syncs in cubasis and is indeed damn fun. The best fx for it i found was csspectral, so good together!
Not a combo I've tried, but I will. Thanks for the nudge.
Hmm, what device and OS version? I'm getting the IAA panel over here on the devices I've tried.
Hello Sonosaurus, I have an ipad air and an ipad mini2 both running ios 8.4 and after reproducing it several times on both devices it simply seems to be an issue of the transport panel only showing up when I have a track in cubasis with 'DrumJam (Main Output)' present. Previously I was loading in two tracks, one with 'DrumJam (Instruments)' and one with 'DrumJam (Loops)' and in that scenario the transport panel does not show up.
So an easy workaround of just having a muted MainOutput track seems to do the trick.
Thanks for the fantastic app! I was quite delighted to find that you can route loops and instruments seperately.
Thanks for the sleuthing, that's very helpful!
No problem, and if you know Sugarbytes tell them how to separate the drums, bass and slicer in Egoist!
I wish Drumjam would incorporate fills ... I really miss this feature. . this would make Drum jam awesomer....
Haha! Yes, please.
great ideas, for DJ!
Yes, Names of the instr.¬es @the padinstr. would be great,
sometimes later with customized indiv.Kits it would be great to see(set) the individual Pitch/Vol per Instrument/Sample in the Pad section...
i read the color thing and like the idea, esp. if these colors could be used for ext. Pad controllers too
like novation launchpad or Quneo...they have dif, colors to tell....
& second thought @nanostudio, there are a BusSystem with 3 x Out in the TRG (Drum) Section which is very usefull
(just a thought/link to....)
@munibeast:
in TJ you see the notes/scale/presetname and if its a pad kit, there are the names of the instr. allready.
@audiogus: @syrupcore & last but really not least @sugarbytes:
+1
