Lol. Then why u work in a slaughterhouse?
I don't like Cassini and the arp is a big hassle to program lol
Yeah, note to self when in the app-business, release new stuff on the last day of the month etc
Wrong Johnny Captain. I think you mean Mister Johnny Marr (555-1212)
Yeah, they know what they're doing
Lately, I've been waiting for new synths to go on sale.
This one... I just had to buy. Solid, and remember, we're supporting independent developers!
How much would a hardware version of a synth like this cost 30 years ago?!
I don't know what it is comparable to but 30 years ago I got a K4 that cost $1500 retail. It's not as powerful and it didn't have a appregiator.
Bought the app and like it a lot. I'm a bass player though and have 0 experience programming arpeggiators. Can anyone help me on this?
This should get you started:

You just use your 10 spider fingers on it, what do you need? There is no programme of it, mate! You might use Bias FX with Audiobus Remote. Ya! I guess you need to try some different Resonator adjustment for bass sound on Lorentz. Ya, the arp is really good, since Lorentz has a more sophiscated delay section, so that arp should have the delaying effect at the work, so you need to pay more attention on those combinations. You might need a bit of glide to further enhance.
Thanks fellas. I'm going to jump in this afternoon and see what I can see.
@Ben One thing that tripped me up at first. To activate the program grid at the bottom make sure you have program selected above style. And make sure octave is selected too.
Yes, well, that makes powerhouse of a difference Thanks....
Unfortunately MIDI is currently a bit messed up. It publishes a Virtual MIDI port, but you cannot use it because Lorentz is promiscuous, no port selector, and will listen to whatever is happening. Connecting to the VMI only doubles things up. Also, no idea what the little MIDI icon top right is supposed to do other than toggle between red and white; no apparent effect on anything audible. [edit] Midi Learn on/off.
Sigh. Hopefully this is jus because the App was reased possibly a little early? Sound is good, but canot map anythoing for it wth MidiBridge or MidiFlow. At least it has Learn.
Is there a help anywhere? [edit] Developer website via App Store. Woul be nice for it to be accessible from the App. Some nice sigal flow diagrams there.
Can confirm. Thanks, Dave, your input is always valuable.
Don't expect much! LaPlace is in same situation!
Life is largely a matter of expectation. -Horace
Hehe, anti-matters!
His mail is at the bottom of Setting menu. Im curious if this will fixed :-)

Still don't understand why you would choose to have an arp program but no song mode (Zillidrone!). They are making it sufficiently hard for me to write something modern and various that I am considering going into town and therein buying more ice cream than is reasonable.
@JohnnyGoodyear
Zillidrone + eating more ice cream than is reasonable = YES! and you'll still have the tracks though the sugar crash may harrow the soul in the mornin
This looks really nice! Anyone knows if you can select the input midi channel?
You can have 16 channels
You just cannot select which port. Tower of Babel in that department - plays all ports.
That said, sound is rich and big. Channel and IAA make it somewhat useful in a multi-synth workflow.
@mkell424. Thank you for that. So, I'm able to activate the program grid and if you drag your finger along each row you can change the position of the marker but was do those numbers even mean? It seems to have no effect on what I'm inputting. I mean, I understand what an arpeggio is and how it works in the structure of the song but I just can't get it to record and repeat what I've played. I also know how to use a step and real time sequencer but is this either one of those? Are you getting it to behave as expected?
This is a cool app but I would love to get the Arp feature working so I can use all of it.
Doug, help!
"what do those numbers even mean" Sorry spelling.
Shane's of Maine- blueberry ice cream and sea salt caramel ice cream- knocked us off our feet!! Buy as much as you can!
@Ben See the numbers as 'Your fingers'. You need to hold down more than one finger for the numbers to have any effect.
The attached image shows a '5-Finger' arp I knocked up while messing around with the app.
If you hold down for example C, D#, F,G ,A# you'll get a arpeggio using all the 5 keys, drop one key and that steps key defaults to first note held down.
Turn up the 'Glide Knob' or the glide blob will not have any affect, equally accent only works if the patch responds to velocity.
I feel that the arp in Lorentz is mostly there for performance aid not 'song writing'.
Not sure if it's just me but when I tried syncing the Cassini arp to BM2 the timing wandered around so much it wasnt useable. I couldn't even get a short 2 bar loop to play in time long enough to record it...and that as using its own internal sound.
