So, are Module and iM1 stored "twice" on my iPad if I import them into Korg Gadget?
Just curious. .That seems very lame, just from a storage standpoint, especially with module.

Oh, please, someone must know the answer
I know the answer but just don't care. (Lyric?)
Kidding
I think gadget imports a percentage. I don't think it actually shares anything besides the access to the files themselves.
I'm assuming you are only referring to the sound data.
Not an programmer, but it would make sense to have part of the code for the iM1 to have the Gadget specific data in it.
On the other hand, it would make sense, (Apple sense) that in order to get around the sandboxing limitations they would do just that.
Dang you John.
I don't have Module so I can't speak to that but from what I recall iM1 is not installed twice. There may have been more written about this by other people so search the forum but as far as I understand it Gadget does not import anything it is just accessing the standalone version of iM1 that's already there and I would assume it's the same for Module.
Maybe someone else can correct me but I would say no they are not installed twice.
I just thought of a way to possibly check this.
Look in the Settings app under General/Usage/Manage Storage and see how big Gadget is there. Module and iM1 standalones should also be there. In the App Store the size of Gadget is listed at 375MB. My Gadget is 548 MB but I also have Abu Dhabi and Bilbao installed and I don't know how big those are. iM1 is listed in the App Store as being 89 MB but it shows up standalone on my iPad at 106MB.
If your Gadget is really huge like way over a gig then I would say Module could very well be installed twice but I'd be surprised about that.
Confirmed. Barely any storage needed
I still find it pretty perplexing that it's iOS 8 nearly 9 and we can't go into the settings, usage, manage storage, select an app then it show the iTunes file shared documents of that app so you can delete unnecessary files. You have to use a computer or open each app to clear data. Will they ever change this?
