What does everybody think?
just another boring netradio?
every time I try its boring, hip hop or "alternative", yesterday it was Jeff Buckley a minute ago it's Sunra. Meh.
bring back John Peel from the dead and I'll be happy, lol
the music selection is so american view limited,
it's like: yeah we do both kinds of music, country & western
Comments
Sun Ra gets that kind of reaction??
It's not that I don't like Jeff Buckley or sun ra,
but I miss Punk, ambient, drum and bass, reaggae
these genres are completely ignored...
It's pretty crap.
I like it.. it just depends on your preference in music...they plan on adding more live stations to cater to various audiences
It covers more than one genre and time period. With so much to cover there's going to be songs you don't like. They have some good shows that are DJed by artists like St Vincent and EDM DJ hour. The best thing is that if you like a song you can add it to your personal library from the Beats 1 screen.

Not much diversity in it.

I used to listen to a lot of KCRW but even they got me bored with the same old Little Dragon and similar
I've heard Top 40, Rock, Indie, EDM, Rap, and Country at various times on Beats One. And some of the shows are diverse.
I'm just making the point there are some good songs played and some great shows. The nice thing about the shows is that they post a playlist after it is over. I've found some gems that I've add to my library. Here's another diverse program:

Haven't tried it yet. There are so many good internet radio shows it's hard to care about.
Still trying to find one I used to listen to from some college in Northern California. Can't remember where but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Bay Area. This thread reminded me of it because they once did "25 hours of Sun Ra" in honor of his birthday.
I miss WWWZ in Charleston, SC. It died in the early 80's. Zappa, Genesis, Strawbs, etc. good times!
