additive micro not showing any results on google?

  • Try search addictive microsynth

  • Try loopseque mini also

  • Also you can be a cheapskate and get Yamaha Synth Book, which is both good and free.

  • BeatMaker 2 is a must if you want a full DAW in your pocket.

    Drums:
Funkbox, DM1, DrumJam, Beat Machine, Seekbeats, Elastic Drums, Rock DM, TweakyBeat. NanoLoop is boss if you're into that sort of thing.

    FX:
AUFX, Holderness apps, jam-up, tonestack, filtatron, samvada...

I primarily use my phone as an effects box. If you can, find a used midi knob box (little Korg and Akai) and take the time to set up the controls. You'll be amazed. You can control a lot of effects parameters in real time with a NanoKontrol!

Think everyone mentioned most of the synths worth mentioning but I'll add Nlog MIDI Synth, Sir Sampleton and a reminder that you can use NanoStudio as a 15 part multitimbral synth if you want to sequence from your iPad.

Also, MIDI Flow works likes a champ on the iPhone.

Also also, even with the wonder that is Audiobus, it can be very fun to use LoopyHD on your phone sending audio from your iPad (and/or whatever else you have) into the phone.

The iPhone possibilities are quite amazing...especially synths.
    +1 on All of above.
    Also, in no particular order

    CMP Grande Piano

    iSymphony

    PPG MiniMapper

    ZedSynth

Grain Science (Wooji Juice dev, like Mitosynth, this + Mitosynth = Omnisphere on yer phone)

    DXi (DX7 emulation)

    Argon (best iPhone mono synth?)

    Roland Sound Canvas

    Neo Soul Keys

SquareSynth (4 voice multi timbral chip synth!)

Prodigy (another, elegant gui, fm synth)

CrystalSynthXT (make patches on iPad use em on iPhone, imports banks from full vast and iOS versions, also not only a player, has its own synthesis stuff going on)

Unity synth (make patches on iPad, use on iPhone. If you bought the full package all those sounds go on iPhone - huge range)

    Gyrosynth (another Beepstreet wonder)

LP5 (5 track clip launcher, deceptively simple but smart and powerful, by the fingerlab dev, plays nice with AudioShare, has Open in, fun live with their Bassline, and Modrum apps). This one has 2 IAA effects slots that can be insert for each track

EGSY01 (yet another fm synth this with some wild bentness going on)

    Samplewiz

    Have fun!

  • And Bebot for family fun.

  • BEBOT!

I wish other people here in The Real World (anyone, someone) knew of Bebot. I have promised myself to shout it loudly as an echo if I ever hear anyone say the word.

    Still waiting...

  • My grandson isn't old enough to talk yet, but I'm sure I'll be hearing it frequently once he can.

  • edited August 2015

Bebot was my first iOS synth, I try to find him a spot on most tracks, my go-to session guy since the early days

  • Thanks for all the suggestions! Luckily I already own a lot of these so hoping they are mostly universal. I know animoog isn't and don't want to rebuy all the IAP again :/

I will work my way through the list. Thanks again :D

  • I've managed to pack my iPhone 5 enough that I've had to stick to a few solid apps to do what I need or want to do & let the rest of my apps have breathing room, but I would have most any and all of those mentioned if I had the space.

  • This is a great thread! I'm bookmarking it! I'm using my iPhone 6 plus as my main system (along with a KMI K-Board). :-)

P.S. Synthmaster Player synth should be out soon and it will be a great addition for the iPhone! :-)

  • FLStudio Mobile 3 looks like it's going to be really nice too!

    Yes! Looks great

Beat Machine is universal and a solid drum machine. Import/trim your own samples, set velocities, etc. ... also, cheap without being, y'know, cheap :)

  • You all have mentioned almost every nice iPhone musicapp worth owning, but, everybody here forgotten to mention perhaps the most versatile music-app on iPhone:

    Caustic!

There you have it all! Perhaps not like the full blown Korg Gadget on iPad, but, Caustic is a jewelry that many of us often forgot...

    Go Caustic!

By all means, a great app (and as you mention, very versatile), but how do you see your synths/racks on a phone behind that 72pt. font inflicted on every pop-up?

  • Oscilab !
