Good sweep presets ?

Hey synth experts, could you tell me some good sweep presets? I have a bunch of synths — Thor, Sunriser, M1, Tera etc...
I'm after a whooshing sweep with noise for build up, but am having trouble making it.

That's something I would like to know too. Maybe a long attack tied with filter cutoff?

Easiest is Thor. Just open an init patch change the module to Noise, Swap the filter with the multi filter (state variable), set to Bandpass, give a good amount of Resonance and sweep the cutoff. Thats it. You can modulate the cutoff via the lfo, adjust rate to the speed you want the noise ramp to come in and out.

Here is a picture of the settings. I animated the cutoff via a slow filter enveloppe.

  • ElectroSiren is an app that is designed purely for this. If you don't want to design your own patch.

But the DIY route is more powerful of course.

  • I think Thor already has some sweep presets to start with. Try the FX section.

    Thanks for the snap.

    That worked well. Cheers!

    Thanks guys. Keep it coming.

You are welcome. You can take this a step further and use Thor's step sequencer to modulate the cutoff and then have the lfo modulate the step sequencer. That's the most awesome part about Thor. There is no other ipad synth that has this simple but powerful modulation matrix. z3ta+ does but that UI is not the best to use on a touch device.

You mean you would rather be watching a video about this?

No no. I was grateful for your screen capture. For slow folks like myself, being able to stare at settings for a minute or two really helps. Although if you want to make a video that's good too :) Thanks again.

  • Wolfsburg got a few

  • You are more than welcome.
No no i am not the video type of guy :-)
