GUMDROPS: I was on the fence........................
Then I bought it.
Wow.
$1.99-- are you kidding me?
That is a sick price on this app.
Especially for me. I don't necessarily like playing little drummer boy on the IPad or with my MIDI hardware a lot of the time I am not a drummer by nature. With limited time, I like to spend time on synth work or programming, not sequencing individual drum hits.
This app allowed me to boom -- great beat and get to synth and bass work.
I just bought it so I didn't dive deep. I also didn't say I am using the beats for the final mix.
But it is great for quick yet complex patterns that you can work off for tempo and style.
I didn 't use import feature yet. I will try that tonight.
But, 1st impression ----------- very excited.
PLUS IT IS AUDIOBUS REMOTE!! ! yay
As a side note- DM1 has given me such issues I gave up. Is anyone else having DM1 issues?
Comments
Always had issues with DM1 - every new update seemed to bring a new issue.
Is anyone else having DM1 issues?
Yes. I deleted it today. MIDI sync is worse than ever, I mean it is kinda non-existent. Fingerlab appears to be a weird type of developer... anyway, looks like I'm just fine without DM1.
Gumdrops
Diode
and ........ Rock DM are my go to drum apps at the moment. I love them, and for a guitar player, they are so easy to use.
Lots of good choices. DM1 -for me- is still one of them.
Might grab this when I get home, looks slick for $2
