  • Looks interesting!

  • Wonder how much it will go for?

  • They've been floating this for quite some time. Used to be on their product page back in 2014. Glad to see they're finally going to release it.

  • This looks great. I just want to see a picture of the back side. Expression pedals? 5-pin midi?

  • Saw that, thanks. the pedal looks excellent, sturdy, real foot switches. I wonder how the software side of things will work out. I would hope these type of iOS pedals have an easy-to-program app that can program the pedal on the fly.

  • I actually hope that it won't need a support app like blueboard and will simply work by switching on and pairing via BT but I realise I'm probably being overly hopeful.

it's hopefully better than the Blueboard. That one works great, but I can't feel the buttons. Really is annoying-hate it. It also makes a LOT of squeaking noise as the plastic creaks, being so cheaply made-like a cheap kids toy. ik should just redesign it.

This looks like a real tool, but then again who knows. I pre-ordered one. Been waiting forever.

  • So... Any news?? Are these shipping? How well do they work?

Can't say I'm crazy about mine. Nice solid construction, but loud, latch only switches, and my first attempts at using midi with it weren't successful. Should be fine as a basic effects switch with Positive Grid products, but I was expecting better midi support.

Of course, I abandon Bias FX not so long ago partly because of lame midi support in the app (as compared to ToneStack), so I shouldn't have expected much out this footswitch.

I'd get some additional feedback from others, though.

Wow, I almost bought one off eBay for £70 couple of weeks ago. I'm glad I didn't. The only gripe I have with Boss FC-50 that it doesn't sent CC's, only PM messages (Loopy hold to delete only works with CC). Then I realised that actually only 4 switches wouldn't do it for me anyway. Thanks for raising this.

If you can get away with wired - you might take a look at the Line6 FBV MKII Shortboard. It has a low profile, 13 mechanical switches, a built in pedal and can be used in USB cabled mode. Line6 has a nice USB editor for customizing MIDI messages.

  • Yikes. Their abandonware trend is continuing. I had great interactions from them in the past, with very rapid email support, but at that time jamup was still their only product.

I no longer have any positive grid products on my devices. Life's been just fine.

Too big and no standard midi out. If I was to go big I'd probably go FCB1010 but to be honest FC50 works fine, has great switches and is battery powered. If I wanted to go nuts I'd add an expression pedal or another foot switch via the back panel.

I also trust the standard midi connector a bit more live, the USB one would probably snap on first pull.

Fair enough, though the FBV is much smaller than the FCB - but if you prefer regular MIDI, it's the way to go. So, do you just translate the Program Changes with something like MidiFlow?

I had that concern initially, but moved to all USB 2 years ago, and haven't had a problem through lots of live shows.

  • Hi, Can anyone confirm that the FBV MKII works on iOS 9? I read on another thread that it stopped working with iOS 7 but I couldn't find any info about newer versions.
