  • Clue is in the name maybe?

  • NO they don't. Iphone and Universal apps run only on Iphone. As BiancaNeve points out it's in the name: iPad apps only work on iPads. btw with the screen off the iPhones getting larger it would by nice if developers started to rethink their iPad only made apps. IMO they could increase their sales in a huge way because their apps will be available for such much more people. Also because iPad sales are already declining for quit a while now.

  • So - while not supported officially, you can hack this with a jailbroken iPhone. Sometimes the IPA files work sometimes not.

I've not done it myself but gamers at toucharcade bang on about it a fair amount for games and seem to have a fair level of success. BTW this isn't pirating... its getting your iPad IPA file out with ifunbox or similar and adding it to a jailbroken phone.

If you're that way inclined. google will reveal all!

What about Windows? Will it run Windows apps?

    Kidding! I'm a sunuvabitch. :)

Seriously though, that large screen iPhone is pretty sweet. Thing is a lot of iPad music apps are universal, and some even have iPhone versions. You can check in iTunes to see which ones you have are universal, by filtering your apps by "iPhone" and it'll show which apps will work.
