Pops and Clicks in Auria

I deleted Auria awhile back for this same reason but I want to try and fix it, cuz Auria has a lot more options than FL Mobile. I continually get pops and clicks and such when a sample is looped/repeated, and I don't hear these 'artifacts' in Audioshare when I trim the samples, nor do I hear it in other apps. For whatever reason Auria manifests all these offensive glitches and I can't comprehend what I'm doing wrong. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I get these too - sometimes when I'm recording into Auria there are spikes/clicks/pops in the audio that I didn't hear during recording, and that don't occur when I use Audioshare. If it's an unrepeatable performance then I usually zoom in and cut out the offending spikes, otherwise I just have another go at recording.

  • I haven't gotten around to recording into Auria much, if I can't get this fixed I'm gonna chuck it again and wait for FLM 3 to come out.

this problem is so obvious and persistent that I must be doing something wrong or else I can't comprehend Auria's popularity.

  • Thanks Andy, probably not the cause of mine as it's an Air2, but worth a shot. It's intermittent on mine anyway.

  • No, I'm not using an interface or even recording or adding effects, just simple wav files exported from Audioshare/etc., always some bad noise at the end of the loop.

  • Might be better asking Rim over at Auria forum. If there's anything he can do to help, he will. Members are very knowledgable too.

  • That's a strange issue, I've been using auria for a few years and have never had that happen.

My own experience is the same (in the positive not negative sense). There must be a variable in this equation, but I think asking at their forum is a good option, someone else must have experienced this anomaly. Good luck @rhcball

  • another day, another forum registration.

It's not a regular occurance, so I can live with it. Overall I'm happy using Auria.

  • anyone have a link to the post, maybe a few weeks to a month or so ago here. Where someone(who is really cool and helpful!), showed how to dial into the waveform at 100% in Auria, and do something with the recorded part that has a click or a pop, to delete it, or take it out so you can't hear it anymore? I think there was even a video for it?

    Thanks!

This is the only video that i found about it

  • I believe that is it @COPSPUSHMONGO.

    Thank you!

  • What's the secret here? I'm still trying to figure this out. Yes, even after all this time dammit!

When I double tap, and highlight, then try to select that section and turn the edges blue, so I can duplicate it. I can only select the original section, not the part I just double tapped on like he does above? Then that duplicates the entire section?

I want to get rid of a pop or click between two sections, that's all I want to do, is that so hard? Apparently it is. :(

  • From my time in the Auria Forum and having the app the day it was released, pops and artifacts come mostly when the sample rates are different. If you import a track thats 41hz and project is at 48hz you will hear these artifacts and sometimes slow audio and bad pitch. Or i could be completely wrong lol.

SelectHL will only select regions that are completely highlighted (surrounded). If you highlight only a small section of a region and hit SelectHL nothing will be selected. You may have more luck if you:

    1. Double-tap & Drag to highlight the precise section within the region that you want to isolate
    2. Tap the region to make sure it's selected
    3. Hit the Separate button (the selected region will be split either side of the highlight)
    4. Tap on the now-separated region to select it

Then delete or whatever you want with that region.
