@gsm909 He's probably using something made by Roland or KAT. KAT is old school. My friend had one in the early 90's.
Also it could be a Korg WaveDrum.
Naaah, it's not a wavedrum, I can't afford it. Scared to try it in case I like it
. I'm using a Roland DP-9. Could be any other e pad I suppose, I ended up with this one because my drummer ,who uses mainly v-drums, had one spare.
That's exactly what I'm doing @JohnnyGoodyear. I've played 3 gigs in the last 10 days. I really want to test the roadworthiness of the rig. Unpacking/packing, the sounds in different environments. People's response to the set etc. So far only loopy's crashed on me while loading projects but in low pressure situations like these it wasn't a big deal. I also did a lot of changes with loopy sessions which may account for the crashes.
My 3 girls are coming back on Tuesday so the time's almost up. That will reduce my musical activity by about 50%

@Supadom, how does the drum trigger connect to the iPad ? It looks like an audio jack plug on the end of the lead?

But then 4:45-4:55... !!! What was that?!! I was so surprised to see you tap out that little bass line in Impaktor. That may have been enough to make me load up the old AppStore and redownload that app.
Impaktor does melodic pretty well, once you figured out how to tweak it ( it s not intuitive )
really loved the performance ! Impaktor and samplr work great together !
Thinking about buying a contact mic for impaktor too, but I already need a piezo for my acoustic guitar, and I wonder if it would work for both or if I need to buy 2 specific ones
