Tonal Harmony Pro (Huge Update) -- Music Theory Tool of the ages
I bought this app over a year ago thinking I could just bang out some chord progressions and make a half decent song. It always seemed to frustrate me in that quest. I don't think that there was anything wrong with the program, but rather my limited knowledge of composition. I just watched the video (linked below) and POWW! mind blown. I finally get that "map" is an exploded circle of fifths that are placed in certain regions based on their chordal quality (tonic, sub-dominant, dominant).
There are sooo many other NEW cool features featured in the video. I would encourage anyone interested in music theory or composition to watch and leave a comment(s) and, if you purchase and use the program, to leave feedback as to how your using it, or how its improved your skill set. (This goes for the workbooks too)
I'm not affiliated with mDecks, just looking to pool audiobus brains

It's Tonal, not Total
The video made my mind tangent within 2mins. Nothing wrong with the video.
Derp on the "total"
I'm in to it since a week, and for not knowing a lot about theory, it's wonderful indeed to explore the relation of all those chords on ONE map ... Musical Adventure! The sounds are fine, there's a player, like sessionband, chordbot, firo, you can record or set progressions, timed loops, etc.
The manual is excellent and very helpful, with some investment of time it's not that complicated;)
An interesting recent development is midi out; while I managed to point it to thumbjam, it still needs more refined midi options. Exporting audio and midi (open in) would be nice, and of course AB:)
Really amazing in its most profound musical aspects...
