Ha nice hand roll combo-move you threw in there
Love the video and the live mixer concept. I just have one concern. Can you alter the sustain value of the synth sounds in any way separate from using a sustain pedal on a controller keyboard? To my mind, a simple envelope makes synth sounds mixed in with piano sounds much more useful for how I would like to use such an app.
I agree that would be better, a simple envelope generator would be good, so the answer to your question is no
I think the Devs are onto a concept here though for quality over quantity romplers for iOS. Imagine being able to get an iPad with some key sounds and then add a few synth sounds for live use, with one easy to use screen and quick change presets mapped over a full keybed.
An iPad and stage keyboard controller can be had for less than many top end workstations or keyboards aimed at live use. To my mind they can also be more creative. If the apps are rock solid reliable, they easily have the quality for live use.
No more apps or keyboards with 1000 user presets that you only ever use a few of live....just a site where you can buy quality presets and download just what you really need. Then just add a couple of synths (not romplers) for the extra sounds needed. Then a couple of tracks on the mixer to control these external synths.
