STROKE MACHINE: MID keyboard
After careful looking, I couldn't find an answer so I am asking here. I know someone can help.
What is the deal with configuring and using a MIDI keyboard with STROKE MACHINE?
I am just not understanding how one is used? How is this set up and how can I use MIDI keyboard to actually play things for each of the sounds?
I hit keys and don't see the rhyme of reason why what keys are triggering certain sounds and not others.
Appreciate the help.
I have seen the tutorial video(s) x 3 available.
THANKS SO MUCH

Damned if I can work it out. Tried connecting it to my sequencer apps and I can't figure it out lol
SM is a great spirit (I mean, synth) trapped in an ungainly body.
@RustiK Just at short glance, keys from c2-c3 triggering the drum pads, and from c4 upwards the synth, however there are 12 midi channels to select from, i.e. in the top row left tapping 'perc/mel' and then 'mix' offers you to assign respectively.
@RustiK
Select the "Mix" button on the top bar and switch between "Perc" and "Mel". Set each "Mel" part on a different MIDI channel, and then "All Perc Sounds" to any free channel that is not used by any "Mel" part.
Play each "Mel" part by changing the output MIDI channel of your controller and start playing (or transport it) in "C3".
Play the "Perc" sounds by selecting its single channel and starting on "C1" and ending on "B1". From "C2" to "B2" it will trigger the sounds from the "Mel" Parts.
NOTE: If you fail/forget to set a separate channel for "All Perc Sounds" you'll still trigger those sounds when playing a "Mel" part and hitting any key between "C1" and "B2".
That's how I configure it for Pro Midi https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pro-midi/id766756959?mt=8
Hope it helps!
I think you did.
I am guessing you like the app?
What other tidbits of knowledge can you provide about the app?
Got it a couple days ago.
What about the "route" button up top.
It seems that isolates the individual sound for playing.
As someone else mentioned, the synths(mel) sounds are played higher up the keyboard? NO?
So, I am not having a bad day or going crazy?
This is a challenge.
Yeah it is confusing, haven't quite mastered this either. I found Attack much easier to use straight off but this has been out longer and has more mature midi capability like learn and is quite an advanced tool. I need to give some time to this.
The pattern as kit thing is interesting as it means you could have a lot of different instruments in a track but I wish you could automate pattern change in the app. You can do it via midi program change though.
Think I have it sussed now, but was a head scratcher lol
Something about it turns me on.
Something about it is just wrong.
Sounds like my type of app.
See SM's Acid Tab colour scheme effects us all eventually
