Have this one, but thanks anyway. Hey and on a completely unrelated note, has anyone told you that your pic looks somewhat Zappaish?
Wow, what a compliment. I think it's just how the pic looks. In real life, I'm a fat slob with nice teeth.
Damn, I was going to get you to go into a music store and order both of us Synclavers and put it on Franks tab!
is it worth it, I wasn't too crazy about sample tank on the desktop back in the day.....how good is the samplemoog?
I kinda prefer the Sonik collection
If you didn't like the desktop version you won't like the mobile version.
It's handy. I'm glad I got it (on sale a while back, I'm sure). I have all the IAPs except Sonik Synth. It's got a little bit of everything and comes in handy for me. On the one hand, sometimes they'll include 3 variations of one drum kit and call that 3 different drum sets. On the other hand, some of those kits sound really good.
@kobamoto I haven't done much more than audition the presets from the Samplemoog pack (yet), but I remember being quite pleased with the sound.
If you buy Sonic Synth, they will even give you the same drum kit with 14 different effects treatments and call it 14 different drumkits. Buyer beware.
I've heard similar comments. Hence me skipping on the Sonik Synth pack - Doug's demo sounded fine, but I've already got more synths than I need!
It seems they mostly screw you over on the non synth parts of the pack. If you are going for it mainly for the keys and synths, it might be a fine deal.
I just got so peed off, i refunded the pack within the first day.
I highly recommend the Miroslav sound pack. I have most of the others, but use them infrequently.
Miroslav is used a lot.
Am I correct in thinking that controlling Sampletank from a control surface you have to use cc# 75-87 ?
From the manual: "cc# 75-87 control the first twelve knobs in the effects sections."
Does this mean that, say, cc-76 controls "attack" on one patch and "cut-off" on another? That seems ridiculous. I must be wrong about this. Right?
I use the Miroslav here too, but it is kinda funny if you want a concert flute, there's only one, but there's 8 variances with echo and phase and distortion. That is just stretching out a sound library unnecessarily.
Zappaish should be entered into the Oxford Dictionary. He was that good, and that influential.
Nice. Too good to pass up, for that price. I'm sure I'll find some nice things in there to use.
