Anyone tried the “bestpianosimple” app?

It sounds fantastic and is only $1.99 for the paid version. Seems to also be made with the AudioKit engine. But I can’t for the life of me figure out why they’d make such a great sounding app with one of the leading software engines and NOT make it at least IAA or Audiobus compatible. Just curious if anyone else has tried it because I really like it, but for now it’s limited to standalone usage, sampling, recording into a 4 track, etc.

Old school "ad based" model that drives you to a music teaching service.
No piano sound... just 4 synth presets to select from. Solid GUI but as an isolated app it's of little value to us. A good intro for a small child to music making on the iPad using a traditional keyboard interface.

This free but with ads is a model that came and went for most music apps, thankfully.
I'd give this guy $2 for something I want but not to stop something I don't want. It's like
paying the terrorists... it leads to more of the same.

I wouldn’t say it’s only for small children. It’s much like audiokits Retro Piano or the Grand Piano AUV3 app. Very niche and specialized but what’s there sounds good. It’s just a shame it’s basically of no use outside of sampling it or messing around.

Anyway, there's a world of difference. If noone pays the ad hostage people and instead everyone pays the fair pricing people, the ad hostage model disappears and the world becomes a better place. 🌎
