Easily my most used music app. I miss the old icon though.

So good we already take it for granted: Audiobus 2 with state saving and multi-routing.

    here here.

  • Too true @Hmtx can we even remember the single pipeline Audiobus? Seems like an eternity.

And some of us schlubs hardly ever get beyond the single pipe, but we're happy and grateful to know it's there...

  • AS and AB are amazing with how they've come and how far they've taken us. Ab with state saving and multi-paths is incredible. AS with its ability to reduce the footprint and share so much, is simply amazing.

  • I liked "flexi goes boom". Funky stuff

  • TheSoundTestRoom.com above all else. The service Doug and Colin provide for the iOS community is easily top honors in my book. Very few apps are purchased without Doug's seal of approval.

Favorite review so far? The Mellotronics 3000 HD. I counted 4 "luvly jubblies" and a gleeful elbow solo. Look it up, it's great :)

    Hi supanorton. You said

"I was so looking forward to the iPad Air 2 and plan on owning one in about a month, but I'm worried about the underwhelming performance reports I've read here and elsewhere. Hoping I don't have to trade it in for an Air 1".

I'm also thinking about a new iPad some time next year. Surely the Air 2 is the way to go rather than Air 1, or am I missing something?

Hi markk. I want to use the Air 2 with Auria, and there seem to be lots of issues with it. Here are a couple of links about it from the Auria forum. I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting these links. I apologize for derailing the thread too.

It excites me when you quote me. It kinda makes me think you actually care :p

  • Gadget without a doubt....all the rest is just a mess of coulda, woulda, shoulda worked together...

• My highlight in 2014 was a collaboration with two forum members @ArcaneScreams (USA) and @Digitalresonance (UK). We created a song together for the AB forum contest kind of thing - straight ios. That was an awesome experience. I learned so much from the pros about workflow, synths, midi and use of all kind of apps and sharing options. And ist just fun three guys around the planet putting a song together on their iPads in bed, train, toilet, nature, on the job...It felt so pioneer :) thank you!

I have to agree with Mr Magoo about the current iOS "mess of coulda, woulda, shoulda worked together."
I would implore most developers to STOP all new projects and work on getting your apps performing to full potential, because for me when the novelty of a brilliant app gives way to repeated disappointment due to a failure to preform adequately in either standalone or as part of a combination I do tend to feel I have locked myself financially into a music creation platform that will never fully deliver.
I think iOS music is currently at a crossroads and interconnectivity needs to be made to work very soon, otherwise iOS music will never be mature enough to be considered as anything more than a lot of interesting ideas without any discernible cohesiveness.
Of course Apple has to take a big share of blame for a lot of these issues and we can only hope they have learned some lessons before OS9 is rolled out.
I would love to know if others are as concerned about this situation as I am.

  • I see indicators that things are starting to fall into place. Audiobus, Gadget, Loopy, Audioshare, the slow but notably increased adoption of Midibus SDK to help standardize Midi protocols, etc.

Call me an optimist, but I think Darwin will out. More standards will take shape. Wasn't desktop recording rather hit or miss in early years? On iOS, there's already so much wild shit I can do for a dollop of the price of desktop equivalents - when there are desktop equivalents.

  • Gadget needs to get IAA / midi out.

That would be a huge leap forward in my opinion and put an end to "shall I use lots of apps or shall I use Gadget" dilemma.

Wow, cheers wmwm! This makes me want to do some more. I've been putting my new rig together and Christmas totally blew my project but will get out more in the new year. Feeling positively groovy baby.

  • Get to it @supadom, you are the poster boy of ceiling-cam fish-eye groove hereabouts...

  • Sparkle, Egoist, completing my first ios album (yeah i know thats 3)

  • Hey, I downloaded rap momo app on strengths of one of the comments but can't work out how to use it in interactive mode. Seems like a lot of fun probably mostly for kids. Anyone knows how to record in own samples? My record button's greyed out and all the write up is in some far eastern lingo.

  • Audioshare is the glue that holds everything together for me. I buy everything Jonaton puts out just to thank him for this amazingly cheap wonder. :)

Also Audiobus 2, Gadget, Bias and DrumPerfect.

  • I must check out sparkle

  • Looks like Gadget got an update. =P

  • Is that TableTop they are showing in the pic instead of Gadget?

  • edited January 2015

Really? IMaschine over Gadget. Hmmmm. The nature and needs of the trade press are exactly what they've always been....(and yes, along with the faint-praise-damning little caption that is Tabletop...)
