Can I stop Ampify Groovebox IAA responding to my midi keyboard all the time?
Can I stop Ampify Groovebox IAA responding to my midi keyboard all the time?

Does it have a MIDI settings page that shows all recognized MIDI inputs? If yes, turn off your keyboard as an input on that page. Running Groovebox in AUM and/or AudioBus might also provide settings to route the MIDI away.
thank you ,i think groovebox IAA bypass it's host to get midi(LP AUM IAA not showing up In Cubasis3 ) and it keeps active even when I turned off it’s background audio
Try changing the midi channel on your controller? perhaps it listens only to channel 1?
no ,GB listen to every channel even mpe controller. I think it may be something related to split screen
If Groovebox has no MIDI settings, you're basically stuck, since any MIDI controller will appear in CoreMIDI, and Groovebox will see it.
If Groovebox has full support for Audiobus, you may have a work-around there. When an app is running with Audiobus, it may connect only to an Audiobus port. I have MusicStudio and it works like that. It listens to everything, but exclusively Audiobus, when it is connected.
If you have an extra instrument slot available in GB, make an instrument and mute it. Switch to this muted instrument to stop GB temporarily responding to your KB.
It actually is still responding, but you won’t hear it since the receiving instrument is muted.
That’s all I could come up with.
I think you may be referring to GarageBand. The OP is talking about Ampify GrooveBox. Confusing, I know.
GB = Groove Box in this thread
The OP used the same shorthand name, see?
yes it's my temporary solution too
I don’t think Gross Beat is even on iOS.
Here’s a Reply from ampify ,good service and sorry for using GB so careless, it should really be specific for Gross Band
Hi Yao,
You won't be able to assign Groovebox to a certain MIDI channel at the moment, meaning it'll currently receive MIDI information even when backgrounded.
I can understand how this is not ideal when you want to use multiple apps at the same time, so I shall pass on a request of for selectable midi channels to the rest of the Ampify team.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Best wishes,
Hamish // Ampify
I noticed this thread because I had had the same issue with Groovebox.
I had asked for the same thing about a year and a half ago.
Hopefully your request will encourage them to make midi selectable.
