  • Major release?

Not to rain on the parade, but I sit those out.

No issues here so far, iPhone 13 Pro and 11" M1 iPad Pro.

  • Haha I just replied to your tweet about the Polyend Play lol

  • Also updates for macOS and watchOS (for those who follow these things).

  • I know this is a "." release, but I'm surprised it's not generating more conversation.

What functionality are you seeing which has improved your experience compared to the prior release?

What's to talk about? "Improvements to Podcasts" is the only change I see in the release notes.

  • No more Updates! I have noticed a performance drop leading to sound crackles in Cubasis when switching from iOS 13 to 15.

None at all here, working perfectly/better than ever. Air 5, iOS 15.5, Cubasis 3. Multi-core processor preference on. No crackles ever, even on the Air 3.

  • It let me play with Universal Control again because I could update both my iPad and Mac at the same time. I need to get off the beta track on iOS.

Don't see much else other than that. Everything is working OK for me.

What machine and OS are you on? I'm wondering because I have recently noticed one particular UI interaction that causes stalls and crackling in the audio that I don't think would have been happening before iOS 14.

Nothing, which is why I am letting others be the guinea pigs LOL! I updated on my phone but not my iPad.

  • Ha, now if you want to use Universal Control, you need to have both your Mac and your iPad updated to the same version.

I planned to skip this iOS update, until I saw that Universal Control stopped working.

I can't live without Universal Control.

We’re going to see more and more of this from Apple over time.

Try a shutdown and restart and see if that fixes it.

How recently have you updated? If it’s in the last few days, your iPad may still be indexing, which can affect performance and battery life till it’s done.
