Cool! Great to see an update.
Very nice. I will revisit this app.
Some nice enhancements and new features
Great news that we got an update. Thank you for sharing and awesome use of it @prtr_jan
Beautiful new update to one of my absolute favorites from erik! One of iOS best apps!
Forgot this app existed 🥴
Looking forward to playing about with it again
Great update.. Great app.. ✅
Woah this is awesome. One of my favorite granular apps on iOS. Glad to see this!
It's great indeed! I couldn't get how to map a lfo to modulate something though
Double-tap the desired parameter to get the assigning menu, there you can set amount of modulation, its direction and choose one of four available lfos.
Great I will try it, thank you!
Amazing update! The note trigger sequencer is very nice!
Woooow I really love the synth because it’s one of the few where I as a visually improved can also tweak the sound because it’s not just small buttons and knobs I also really love the sound
I don't have an AU granular option and it's a gap I'd like to fill. Curious where folks rank Tardigtrain in the big picture of iOS granular.
I love Borderlands and I'd like to find a similarly open-ended playground that'll play nice in AUM.
Tardigrain has lived a long life in my phone's home screen, its mix of sampling, granular and rhythmical sound generation and great effect makes it a total joy to just open and experiment.
I have to say, though, that I consider moving the five effects to a single "paged" widget a step backwards in usability: everything is now more steps away (in some cases four if you want to go from the first to the last page), and it's hard to be intentional about paging up and down as opposed to tweaking the controls. I would prefer a tabbed UI if the effects have to share the same space. I have the same feeling towards Rymdigare's paging UI.
Erik’s the man!
Tardigrain & Spacecraft are my two favourite granulars. I tried Borderlands but never got along with (unlike many others).
This was an app that I impulse bought when I read “sampler” in the description.
When it turned out to be more granular synthesis than I expected I parked it and forgot about it.
Thanks for the bump. Lots of possibilities here.
Wow this is a great update. Tardigrain is one of the best granular syths out there.
Here is one of my latest experiments with Tardigrain.
Tardigrain is very playable, thanks to its internal keyboard that gives you an easy modulation source (it tracks X and Y on each key). A kind of "MPE" surface so to speak. It's very convenient and in this way reminds me of Mononoke (only more flexible) or Animoog
My initial response to Tardigrain was real disappointment; whatever I fed into it just came out sounding kinda abrasive, or at best really digital and cold. I couldn't coax any warmth out of it. Maybe I'll dip back in and see what this new update means...
no AUv3 in AUM ?
i have just bought tardigrain. but in AUM it is not shown as AUv3.
the app description says that AUv3 is supported.
in the video from TheSoundTestRoom you can see a "Tardigran AU Extension".
But this is not available for me.
I have already deleted the app and reinstalled it.
Am I doing something wrong or does Tardigrain no longer support AUv3?
It is AUv3 and shows up in AUM just fine. Have you opened up Tardigrain as a standalone after the install?
It’s there for me, so it may be a case of restarting your iPad, which I’ve found works for missing AUs after installation. Hopefully it’ll then appear for you.
thanks yokotate and bygjohn for your answers !
restarting the ipad was the solution and now it shows as an auv3.
never had this before and i'm glad you helped me 😀
The new update is pure 🔥
Someone remind me how to import samples please?
I want to play a sample normally and then sustain the tail as a granular sampler
Can you do this natively on Tardigrain?
here is an unlisted video of my question:
I would love to be able to...
Sharing them from files app works pretty good
