Session Band - Ever getting back on the 'Bus?
Anyone got any inside dope on whether the Session Band apps will be updated to be compatible with Audiobus again? Anyone reach out to the developers yet? If not, I'll drop, them a line. Thanks.

@Seangarland That got lost in the maelstrom I seem to be thinking. Is a pity. Would like to take some of those vanilla pieces into Flux nowadays. Would be great if you would give them a nudge. If you have a contact I would be happy to ask also...
Yes they are in fact working on something as I type. I found this little tidbit right over at their webpage. (Major rebuild of SessionBand app in progress. New product is built around Apple's iOS8 Audio Engine. Expect superior performance and new features. Please be patient.) //
/I hope it is soon because I have several versions taking up a lot of space for no reason until it is fixed and I am hoping they are serious about fixing this soon.
I have been wondering about these "new features" What have they got planned for this I would like to know.
Thanks for the update @Tritonman2. I suppose I could have looked there first. I have e-mailed them as well, so if they provide any additional info, I'll update this post.
Little cynical about tomorrowland at this point, but fingers decidedly crossed.
Hope something does materialise as I have used these a lot before I upgraded. The only thing is they do take up a lot of space.
I want a Sessionband midi version.
You can audio copy and paste out in the meantime I believe.

No need to be cynical. The LILO and Stitch "ride" is worth it though. (Used to be the alien adventure, but they repurposed it). Test track is fun too. You are giving Mickey your money this week, right?
Got a response back from the developers just now:
"Many thanks for your email - we have just re-written all the SessionBand
apps to include the latest iOS8 Audiobus code - all works as it should now.
Apologies for the delays - the code re-write took far longer and was more
involved than we first thought. We are waiting on Apple to approve the apps.
Shouldn't be too long until the free updates appear in the App Store.
Thank you for your patience."
That is some very good news considering how much space the sessionband apps are taking up. I am looking forward to using it again.
Yay. I'm getting so many support requests about this.
Awesome news.
(note: I really hope I don't have to download all of them again
)
As I speak Captain. Been a while since I was here and now they just have the wristbands that you wave at anything and everything to give Uncle Walt whatever he wants while making the crowds and the cash collection go far faster. I don't enjoy the place (the boy does), but you have to admire the brutally efficient operation.
SessionBand fan here waiting for the update

I do not recall anyone else taking so long to have their apps approved ? I am smelling BS.
Patience, this is what we need, thats right, aproving over 2weeks?....!!...???
This from their Facebook page FIVE days ago!
Seen a few comments on here in last 24 hours so instead of personal responses to everyone, here's a statement from our Directors!
As you know we have been promising rebuilt apps for some time.
After a lot of work, we submitted to Apple for approval in January.
Just to be clear, this isn't a 'major update' - it's a rebuild across our entire portfolio. So it's not as simple as app updates. We can't speed it through for things to then go wrong or have ongoing errors, and over the rebuild period we have had countless issues to get this right. If you are a SessionBand fan you will truly appreciate the rebuilt apps.
Unfortunately following submission, we had a have had a problem at the start of the week with iPhone timing out prematurely with Audiobus which has had to be fixed. So now resubmitted and release hopefully within next 10 days.
Thanks for patience.
They are now saying by the 15th or 16 th of February! I hope this rebuild is worth the wait. Maybe they finally added midi versions to keep the app bloat down but I highly doubt that.
Sun or Mon or perhaps a sneak a saturdayrooni surprise? I want them back now please sirs if you would not mind to very much and considering I paid for a bunch of them and all!
Curious about some of the comments: why are people letting apps take up space on their devices? I can delete any app I've paid for and go back and get it if I want it again - is this different for iPads? Maybe someone's workflow requires keeping them around... ???
One more day, so they say, time will tell but then they can just go to he-double hockey sticks.
They sometimes keep them if they can spare the room while waiting forever and ever and they are a LArGE download if you had several like me!
Been doing a lot of dance stuff lately but will not even consider the download of another of their apps unless they can show they can be taken seriously.
The supposed day for the long needed update has come and gone yet AGAIN and guess what? There was no "rebuild" to be had! This company is fast loosing any appeal.
Just more delays; It's the name of the game. You need to use the 'reality' calculator on any developer's ETAs.
Lol, true, they are very good at this delay thing . Their Facebook page is getting funny to read at least. I wonder how many people already deleted the apps though? Apps this big either have to work or they get tossed fairly quickly usually. I only use the drums but the space taken up is huge for an app to not work right.
Really everyone should be supportive. It's hard work, and they are going as fast as they can. Trust me.
When there's a delay it's much worse for them obviously. For us it's just an extremely minor irritant. It's not like this stuff is holding anyone up in a production chain. ; )
Do you work for the company nubus? They have been promising a fix for a while now will you guys be getting the update right anytime soon ?hahahahahahah
No don't work for them.Thing is, i've seeing so many delays recently i've gotten used to them. I also am learning about how it all goes down. Best to just be supportive. Negativity in this stuff, doesn't really do any good, and i've got a feeling can actually be counterproductive. It's fun to rant in these posts, but the developers read this stuff and they are human. I know it would bug me if I got all excited about a release and then got a delay, having already posted Pollyannish ETAs and feature lists LOL
Now, on the OTHER hand, if they posting the crazy ETAs over and over (which I also see), Well, then bets are off : D
